Muslims believe in many things. They say they believe in Jesus, but at the same time refuse to believe many things about Him, why he came and how he suffered on the cross etc.
Most of all they believe of their prophet Muhammad, and recently I read, some believe the only reason God or Allah as they call his name, created us only for one reason, so as God/ Allah can create his favourite creation of all of us Muhammad. If it was not for Muhammad, we would have never been created! not would have the universe was created either! far fetched, but that is why so many of them believe that he is better than all of us. I don't know if it is actually in the Quran, but some people would like the believers in Muhammad to believe it is true!! Go figure!!!
someone said that Muhammad fought for womens' right!!?? when was that! when he tolled them that they are the dwellers of hell! that the man can beat her so he can set her straight. or when he said that the women is not intelligent, or if the woman refuse her husband, he can banish her out of his bed. you want more! read the Quran. May God help them all.
There are several rules about the gender roles, such as the man can't wear silk, or gold, nor wear clothing that were made for the female, etc. Yes they have strict gender roles, and the woman who is brought up all her life to wear the hijab, will have a very hard time trying to take it off, very hard. But those who chose not to wear it! you can't tell them appart from the Jewish, the Christian, or any other.
Sorry Muslim ladies, I don't mean disrespect to you, but my opinion of Muhammad is not as good as your of him. IMHO, I don't think he was such a good man toward women. just my opinion. Think of the pleasure marriage for example, I know not many muslim men do it, but it is always there for them to practice that right. He said a man can marry a girl for a limited time, then after that she goes back home packing. not very respecful of women!

Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet, and that he died and did not rise from the dead, but is in paradise. They also believe that he performed miraculous healings and even raised the dead (but these died again in due time).
There are many Muslims who do not wear the hijab, in countries where this is not the normal clothing for women. Muslim women are supposed to dress modestly. However, Muslims who come from cultures where the hijab is normal, sometimes try to enforce it as a general rule.
In most Muslim cultures there are strict gender roles, but again this is not always so. Even in Pakistan, a conservative Muslim country, a woman, Benazir Bhutto, was elected Prime Minister at one point.

They believed that there is no God but their Allah and they are his slaves, and they believ Jesus is prophet and was born for a virgin woman and he is like Adam (not son of God but slave like every body else). Muslims have different views of gender roles and hijab today they don't have the same view but the Koran is very strict about these things also very strict about non Muslims.

Muslims do believe in Jesus...they believe him to be the most profound of all the prophets. Jesus is mentioned in the quran more than any other prophet...more than mohammed. A separate sura is dedicated to mary as well.
Strict gender roles is a cultural thing..not religious at all. Mohammed's first wife was rich and asked him to marry her.
You don't have to wear a hijab...as a matter of fact...PLEASE DON'T WEAR A HIJAB. It's B**llS**T!!!

So many are ignorant of what Islam teaches, yet feel confident in sharing what they "know" about the religion of 1.5 billion people.
Muslims believe the most important thing to do is to submit to God's (Allah's) will. This should sound familiar, because Christians like me say "Thy will be done" as part of the Lord's prayer.
Muslims believe the most important prophet was Muhammad, whose role was to share the belief in the one true God to the Arabs. They also believe that Jesus is an important prophet (but not God's son).
In some Muslim countries, there are strict gender roles, but the bad treatment of women in some countries is not because of Islam but rather the cultures of those countries. Remember: the United States, until very recently, thought equality between the sexes, in society and in church, was a ridiculous idea. Muhammad, in fact, fought for women's rights, and demanded that women be treated with respect.

Islam is not just the statement from the tongue "There is no GOD but ALLAH and Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him) is HIS final messenger"
Infact Islam is the testimony of the tongue which is affirmed by practice from the heart. This, when you reach the affirmness of the heart is "Iman" which means 'faith'.
Now NO muslim is a muslim if he doesnt believe in Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him). But what exactly should he believe???
If he believes that Jesus Christ (PBUH) was the son of GOD, then this is forbidden as you are associating partners with GOD. This also contradicts the first statement which i have written above.
So we believe that Jesus Christ was one of the mightiest messengers of GOD. He was a human (100%) and was given a miraculous birth to the virgin Mary (PBUH).
It is of no surprise that GOD chose messengers to guide mankind. As HE chose Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses for the message, HE chose Jesus with a miraculous birth as a SIGN from GOD. All these prophets conveyed the SAME message "SUbmit your will to GOD" which is the exact translation of the word "Islam"
If a woman choses not to wear HIjab she still remains a muslim but she is a sinner. Why? Watch this video:

Muslim believes in One God.
Muslim believe that Jesus was a prophet of same God which created their Prophet. u can check this site for that http://www.muslimslovejesus.org/default.asp
No, Islam doesn’t believe in that strict gender role. But if any thing happened bad to female, it’s because of society, cultural etc and not of religion
Hijab is not a religion thing its cultural thing. Religiously No problem, but if any culture or law asked them to wear then they have to follow that country law or culture. And u can’t blame religion for that.

Actually there is a link between the three religions: Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
Muslims do believe in Jesus as a messenger of God - not his son- and his mother the virgin Mary, they also believe that the Bible is a sacred book, not the bible today....
Muslims believe that the bible today is not the actual bible brought by Jesus...
And they believe that Jesus was not crucified !
Muslims believe in Moses, Zachariya, Abraham, Ismael, Joseph , Jacob, Adam and Eve, Noah, Solomon, David and others. They believe in them as messengers of God ... so we can say there is some link between the three religions....

Muslims don't believe in Jesus. A woman would be in huge trouble if she wore something that wasn't considered proper. Yes they have very strict gender roles.
