Please don't use the bible as a reference . I'm talking about other documented sources with references of the actual event and descriptions. even if you cannot provide a reference tell me the prophecy that you have learned about that has been fufilled.

I am interested in your observations of Christians in America. Specifically, what would you say are some of the most hypocritical behaviors, lifestyles, decisions, attitudes, etc., of Christians that clearly contradict what Christ taught his followers to display. This is not a trick question. I am genuinely interested in how you percieve Christians in America especially those things that cause you to reaffirm your commitment to Islam.

If so, what limits? I don't think god would be too proud of you if you had limits to believe what can and cannot be.

I'm Dutch, my fiancee isn't. At home we speak English to eachother. We are planning on moving to the USA, simply because we wanna raise our future children in a language that we both speak.

I have only one concern, and that concern is mainly caused by Yahoo!Answers. I don't believe in God. My fiancee does. On the US version of Y!A I notice a lot of misunderstanding about Atheism. I truly am trying to understand what causes that.

Both Holland and the US are extremely rich countries, with religious freedom and a good educational system. In my daily life in Holland I have never met a person who doesn't understand what Atheism or Christianity or Islam is. But here on Y!A I notice a lot of completely wrong ideas about what Atheism is, mostly from the American answerers.

My question: is this a reflection of what daily life looks like in the US, or is the misunderstanding of Atheism on Y!A merely an exaggeration of reality?

Einstein said "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind"

and he also

said ""I want to know God's thoughts; the rest are details."

I am perplexed.
Did Einstein believe in the existence of god or not.
To what degree did Einstein believe in god.

I mean given their religous history, and particularly its place in "end times prophecies". After all, Israel has a huge role in Revelation events, and there Israel is, reborn!

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Elija, Elisha, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Jesus
These people were who they were because of God. For one thing, many of their prophecies were fulfilled. A big one was Israel becoming a nation again in 1948.
The scriptures tell us that true prophets are revealed when their prophecies come to pass. So we know that these men were true.

....or the Easter Bunn and other things SUPPOSEDLY related to religion. Because of our religion my parents never told use these fables so we knew but we were also told not to point out these blatant lies to any other children our age. I will never forget when my aunt told my cousin the truth about Santa….she cried all night long. I just don’t understand why…if people do in fact believe the vague religions premises for these holidays why do they lie. All thorough the bible it states that lying=bad truth=good. John had a lot to say about lying vs. telling the truth but the tone is there throughout the bible: John 8:32 John 8:44 John 4:23, 24

I’m not touching on the biblical principals vs. the pagan influences of Christmas or Easter or whatever holiday that promotes lying to children I just would like to know why good and decent people make the mistake of lying to kids only to reveal the truth when they are older.

Why do parent’s lie?

Please put these beliefs in the order you would choose as being the most benifitial to mankind.

Person #1 - Someone who beleived there is no God at all and kept that to themselves.

Person #2 - Someone who also beleived in a God/Higher Power but also made that pure belief/faith into a religion sharing it with the rest of the world.

Person #3 - Someone that believed in a God/Higher Power and kept that belief/faith to themseves.

Person #4 - Someone who believed there is no God and made a mockery of people who they new did.

(also, these were typed in no peticular order)

Looking forward to your answers.... feel free to elaborate on your choices if you like.
