To what end? Are athiests looking for converts? Do they feel descriminated against? When I hear athiest agressively defending their beliefs it often sounds like they are trying to convince others that they are silly, stupid or delusional - and I don't think that is very productive. How about if we all just keep our religion to ourselves and let our neighbors enjoy their own path as we do ours? Let's live and let live - ok?
Peace!

Really no need, why add turmoil when we could just get out of the way and let the religious zealots tear each other apart with no interference by us. The only down side is when you look at all the turmoil the religious nuts are causing, that part I'm not a real fan of,mostly because of the innocent people that get caught in the crossfire.

What beliefs? The only thing an atheist shares is the disbelief in gods. With that said, i think it is the duty of every freethinker to advance society through reasoned thought and to enlighten those who may be mistaken about the nature of reality.

I will defend my beliefs, but I see no cause to do so "aggressively".
I am secure in my faith and nothing anyone says can change it.
Being rude will serve no purpose other than make me and the atheists I claim to be speaking for look foolish.

I don't have a religious belief. I am without belief. I will aggressively defend my right to be without belief.

Yes, we atheists should be more vocal for two main reasons, to show our true numbers and to show that the stereotype of atheists being angry and immoral is just wrong.

Yes, I agree we should start small clubs at school and commuity centers, that teach the facts not the faith and let them grow from there.
Some school have bible club after school so shouldn't there be a non-bible club also.

I don't see the point of that. I believe we all should believe or not believe as we see fit. We have that right under the law. Nobody is persecuting me or any of my atheist friends. Why start trouble?

I'm not an Atheist - I'm a Deist and I believe in God.
However - Yes, I do believe Atheists should be more proactive - they are stigmatized and ridiculed in this country.
