Leo was my cat. He died on Easter of last year. As I've looked about the site, I see that many people believe that animals don't go to heaven. I found this in Ecclesiastes 3.19-20--

'Like animals we breathe and die, and we are no better off than they are. It just doesn't make sense. All living creatures go to the same place. We are made from the earth, and we return to the earth.'

What is your interpretation? I am getting from it that when we die, we are forgiven and go to heaven. And all other living creatures (Meaning not plants because you wouldn't consider them a 'creature') go to heaven too. I hope that Leo went to heaven because a minute ago when I was reading the other ppls replies to topics kind of like mine, I started to cry. Leo has to have gone to heaven right? I mean, cats don't know right and wrong, therefore they cannot sin right? Adam and Eve ate from the tree in Eden that taught them the difference between right and wrong, but animals didn't. No Jokes! Plz.

As much as God placed within us the ability to love animals I believe that there WILL be animals in Heaven. The Bible says that when Jesus comes back to rapture His church He will be riding a white horse. That's an animal and it's coming from Heaven. Since God created all the animals why would He discriminate on which ones are in Heaven?

Revelation 19:11 & 14

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

I'm counting on seeing my precious ones there as well. Sleep in peace tonight and make right with God so you can see Leo in heaven when it's your time to go.

God bless & keep you!

Leo is in very good hands. You may not believe this, but I believe in reincarnation, and Leo will come back to Earth the next time on two legs. Every creature is afforded the opportunity to incarnate into a human body to learn the purpose of life .... Leo will get that opportunity, and perhaps even during your lifetime. He might even be back in your life as the newborn child of someone you know or someone in your family. Either way, whatever you choose to believe, just know that Leo had a soul and the soul is immortal. Leo did not cease to exist when he left you.

Blessings ...

I once read of a little boy whose dog had died. He was heart broken. That night, when his father was tucking him in to bed, he asked tearfully: "Daddy, will I see Spot in Heaven?". His father answered: "Son, I can assure you of one thing: If you need Spot to be in Heaven, when you go there, then you can be sure he will be ther too". I thought that was a pretty wise answer, and can surely be applied here as well.
Actually, I read part of a book by Tony Cmapolo, who suggested that animals will be part of the resurrection. on the new Earth.
Interesting thought. Not much Biblical basis to argue one way or another, but I think it would be easier to make an argument in favour than against.

All living creatures have soul. All living creatures is given not only once but many life times to evolve. All living creatures give way, upon death, to the inevitable, to the spirit which is the source of all life. Leo is fine. Who knows, Leo could be one of your best pal in future life. I believe in reincarnation. So strange as it may seem to you, that's my respond and belief. If Leo is mine I have nothing to worry about. Leo's spirit will always be with me.

Bless u.

If you end up in the first Resurrection, and are one of the people God takes to Heaven for 1000 years, before you come back to live in the Earth made new forever, I believe God will allow your cat to live with you. I have nothing to base that on, except the great compassion of the wonderful God we have.

ALL ANIMALS GO TO HEAVEN! In the Bible, they say that in heaven the lion will not eat the lamb, but instead eat beside it. Therefore Animals do go to heaven! None of them will be carnivors though. No blood will shed, for these animals are clean and loved. They are forever in heaven, If there were no animals in heaven, i will be horrified. I know God has taken my dog to heaven. I know i will see her again.

Contrary to what others have said on this question, animals do *indeed* have a soul. Leo's soul lives on. Rejoice for Leo, as his soul is immortal. You will see him again some day. Perhaps as a female, perhaps as a spirit ... but you will see him if it is important (for closure).

Peace to you!

Unlike mankind and jinns, animal don't have accountability.
Only mankind and jinns are accounted for their deeds in their life time. That is how the GOD describes:

Freedom of Choice

[33:72] We have offered the responsibility (freedom of choice) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were afraid of it. But the human being accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.

[33:73] For GOD will inevitably punish the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women, and the idol worshipping men and the idol worshipping women. GOD redeems the believing men and the believing women. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
*33:72 The animals, trees, stars, etc. took advantage of this most gracious offer. See Appendix 7."

Why Were
We Created ?

We are in this world because we committed a horrendous crime, and thislife is our chance to redeem ourselves, denounce our crime, and rejoin God's kingdom.

It all began a few billion years ago when "a feud arose in the Heavenly Society" (38:69). One of the high-ranking creatures, Satan, entertained supercilious thoughts that his God-given powers qualified him to be a god besides God. He thus challenged God's absolute authority. Not only was Satan's idea blasphemous, it was wrong - only God, and no one else, possesses the qualifications and ability to be a god. Consequent to Satan's blasphemy, a division occurred in the Heavenly Society, and all constituents of God's kingdom became classified into four categories:
1. Angels: Creatures who upheld God's absolute authority.
2. Animals: Creatures who rebelled but then accepted God's invitation to repent.
3. Jinns: Creatures who agreed with Satan; that he is capable of being a "god."
4. Humans: Creatures who did not make up their minds; they failed to
make a firm stand with God's absolute authority.

Leo could go to Heaven or stick around you in spirit form. It depends what he wants to do.
