Look, I'm not one to immediately defend Christians, but those people you are talking about that do those things are a special kind of sick. It's not their religion that makes them that way. Being "Christian" has nothing to do with it. They deserve the blame, not Christianity.

We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. There is none perfect, no not one. No matter what others are doing that say they are Christians. I am very proud to be a Christian. You have to look at it like this, even the Word of God says that not everyone who calls on the name of the Lord are truly His disciples. Also, we all sin. There is no sin that is greater than any other. It may seem like it because of the world's values. But murder is sin just as fornication and raping kids. Sin is sin. Your job should be the best Christian you can be to show others that no all Christians are the same. What someone else does while calling on the name of the Lord, they will have to give an account for that to God themselves. As I have stated before, why does any one have a problem when men and women of God live well. No one argues that rappers, movie stars and the like live well off money they have spent making them wealthy. May God Bless

While the Catholic Church has a problem regarding immoral sexual behavior by its priests, one must remember that the overwhelming majority of priests DO NOT perform such acts. The overwhelming majority of priest have committed themselves to a life of serving the community.
Now, the fancy clothes, the huge cathedrals, the hierarchy, the exclusivity of The Church...all these things are up to question. Immoral priests? Throw them in prison, and throw away the key. Just don't generalize and judge the entire church because of the actions of a few.
(I'm not Catholic, by the way)

Be a proud christian if you're not hypocrites like them.
They shall receive their dues on judgement day.
We can't change the world but we can change ourselves.
And stop going to Church for the sake of going & still
giving these hypocrites money to con more people.
The Lord says where two or three are gather in his name,
it is a church. There are true practicing christians out there & one day we shall all come home to the Lord!

You should be a proud christian because of what Christ did for us! It says in the bible that if we are ashamed of him he will be ashamed of us before God in the day of judgement!! What you are seeing is the devil dispatching his lust, greed, pride, and lying demons on the preist in a successful attempt to discredit the christian church. No one is perfect, we all (including the priests ) have issues that we need God to deliver us from. Just read your bible everyday and keep a tight relationship with God. Do not let the priest be a model of a good christian because they are incapable of doing that! We should follow Jesus teachings and pray for your religious leaders. Trust me you are going to see more mess than that in the church but the question is.... Do you love God enough to keep your faith?? Jesus didn't even judge people! Just Know that Only God can judge you, and find a church home full of people who will pray for you and support you in your walk with Christ!! It is my prayer that you stay encouraged and faithful! I want to personally let you know that the preist SHOULD be a model of christianity but oftentimes they are not! You just read your bible and follow the commandments because God sees you and will reward those that endured!!!
Be Blessed!

If priests rape and molest little children, does that make evolution true and creationism wrong? If a pastor is found to be in a homosexual relationship, does that make Jesus a fraud? Are the ten commandments void because your local minister steals money from the church to support his gambling habit?
Truth is truth, no matter what the actions of the professed believers of that truth.

That doesn't make you not a proud Christian it would make you not a proud Catholic. Not all Christians are Catholics. Find another church. There are many out there who aren't as sepulchers - white and clean on the outside but rotten and dead on the inside. I personally believe there will be a special place in hell for those who rob the innocence of children while hiding behind the name of God.
What is happening to you is not a revelation of truth about God Himself but a revelation of truth about your church.

You should be a proud Christian because you have not fallen into these sins. How are they manipulating. They preach that it is wrong to rape, and then they themselves do it. That is not manipulating anyone. That is them falling into a sin they knwo to be wrong. Is this hypocrisy? Yes. Is this wrong? Yes. Does this undermine Christian values and teachings? Yes. Does this destroy Christianity? Of course not. This is why we should be proud Christians. Even when said followers of Christ fall into the traps of the devil, Christianity will stand strong because Jesus has told his Church that he will be with us until the end.
God bless,
Shane

u should be a proud christian because you are in the army of the Lord's not a priest or preacher or congregation. Your works you do as a christian are to edify the Lord and tell of his good works in your life. a lot of people who do evil things like what you mentioned are under satanic attack and instead of seeking and talking w/ God before contemplating those things, they chose to follow the devil's plan instead of the Lord's plan and they will; as you can see; continuously be put out there for the whole world to see their wrong, we are not to judge them, that's the Lord's position, we are to pray for them...matt 7:1-4 and those who claim to be christians..."faith without works is dead" God will tell them, matt. 7:21. As christians we are to "put on the whole armor of God..." Romans 14:13-14.

As Christians,we aren't to be proud. We're to be humble. We can be meek and still hold our heads high, despite the persecution that we endure at every turn. Also,as Christians,we are to keep our eyes on God, NOT on man. These priests, evangelists, pastors, preachers, etc., who are pretending to do God's will while doing evil things behind closed doors are leading people astray rather than leading people to God,and they will be held accountable for it. In the meantime, we cannot blame God for what they do,and we cannot lose faith in God, for it is not God doing these evil things, but man.
