If they do will the torture be physical, mental, or both?

Will they be there forever?

I had this moron who told me off and said that i was an herectic/apostate becos i disagreed on selected parts of religion, worse still i've in real life i've encountered physical violence simply for asking questions about inconstitencies in religion..

Who decides what is above public contestation in religion and decides what a beleiver should be?

Should these self appointed guardians of the faith alone have a monopoly on what is allowed to be open for debate?

Who elected them as keepers of the faith anyway?

Thanks.

1. The books of the New Testament of the Bible were chosen by one man who was a servant of the Emperor Constantine and did that choosing to satisfy Constantine's agenda to completely reform early Christianity.

2. Besides the Apocryphal books eliminated from the Bible used by Protestant Church there are, at least, 28 other books mentioned in scripture, which do not appear in the Bible.

There was no specific list or accounting of all the books that made up the Bible until the commission of the first Bible by the Emperor Constantine in the 4th Century AD. The books that make up the Authorized King James Bible were chosen by men, not divine forces. The language of the King James Bible is obscure and limited.

So why? or has christianity lost it's way in the real world?

Christians, this was brought to my attention and there's something to learn in what I'm sure will be interesting responses. I had never considered it until I read an article on the Biblical reasons for burial as opposed to cremation AND asked a question to our non-Christian friends at Yahoo in which the option of cremation or other options or undecided came up. Please state your reasons why for whichever preference, respectfully (no slurs!). Thanks!

let us assume that evolution is a fact ;what does that proof? does that proof "No God" no because simply it say that every organism evolved from pre existed organisms then from where came the simplest forms?from nonliving? then do you have a proof?who made nonliving?

I hope you insidious Christians fall pray to bird flue after digesting your blood thirsty feast.
Your holiday celebrates the slaughter of millions of American Indians!!!
Why do you think the American Indian council wants it banned.
You bloody christians should do the right thing and demand your terrorist government to abolish this disgusting holiday!
Shame on all you callous people who celebrate this death holiday.
Then you wonder why the American Indians hate you.

How big of a potential tragedy would it have to be. Hurricanes, tsunamis, genocides, droughts, plagues nor famine has done it so far. What would it take?

The world is beautiful, created from the tiniest pinprick of concentrated, hot energy. Look at the stars, look at photos of entire galaxies, the puplish swirls and the blackness. Space is expanding, right now. We are turning, turning. And gliding around the sun. We are orbited by a moon, flanked by other planets.
In our world are beautiful trees, mountains, plains, valleys, volcanoes spurting lava, a reminder of the fact we are living on jigsaw pieces of earth, a shell for the sphere of molten rock that is our world. Look at the animals, beautiful animals, strange animals, downright hideous animals.
We humans love and are loved. We have minds that can be beautiful, can embrace everything around us and give it names. We can also be dark and terrible. We can be bitter, and get corrupted by our own desires. But good and bad is all relative. Nature is nature.
Life is chance. And everything is a miracle.

I just thought I would remind y'all. Anyone else have worldviews they wanna share?

It seems like one of the key points creationists (people who believe that God instantly created humans instead of gradually through evolution) use in their mostly unconvincing arguments is that "I can't believe that we are evolved from lowly monkeys" and things similar to that.

Well, what's wrong with a monkey? Personally I like them. And it's pretty obvious that I'm an animal. There's no doubt that I share the same basic functions as other animals.

What's the point of looking with disgust down on something as innocent as a monkey?

Do you go straight to hell if you don't repent and ask for God's forgiveness? Does it depend on the severity of the sin?
