It is the time to get lifted up by Gods will and no time on earth has that definition of speed. You can't even imagine the swift hand of the Lord and Savior, but should always be aware of his presence. The best you could wish for is when you pass it is with Gods speed so you will arrive there quickly and without harm to your spirit.

If a day for god is like a thousand years then Godspeed must be pretty damn slow.

LOL! That's good!
But really God Speed is a way to wish someone well on there journey (trip or life). It is in liu of Good Luck as most Christians don't believe in luck anyway. Not to mention the term good luck is shortened from is origianal text which was good lucifer though we do not use it in that context anymore.

"Speed" is an Old English word for "success" -- see the Sources field. So "Godspeed" has nothing to do with velocity -- it actually means "God give you success".

It's the speed that, due to time dilation, causes 13 billion years to go by in 7 days.

It's not a measurement of speed it's a word used to wish someone a prosperous journey, success or good fortune.
