many ppl talk about evolution like they are scientists, did they really studied it or just listened from others?dont you agree with me that evolution is still a theory and not a fact and have many defcts?
let us assume that evolution is a fact ;what does that proof? does that proof "No God" no because simply it say that every organism evolved from pre existed organisms then from where came the simplest forms?from nonliving? then do you have a proof?who made nonliving?

Evolution is theory AND fact. I don't think you realize what a scientific theory is. Let me explain:

A theory is an explanation of a set of related observations or events based upon proven hypotheses and verified multiple times by detached groups of researchers. In scientific terms, a theory implies that something has been proven and is generally accepted as being true.

Some scientific theories include the theory of evolution, the theory of relativity, and the quantum theory. All of these theories are well documented and proved beyond reasonable doubt. Yet scientists continue to tinker with the component hypotheses of each theory in an attempt to make them more elegant and concise, or to make them more all-encompassing. Theories can be tweaked, but they are seldom, if ever, entirely replaced.

Evolution doesn't pretend to give us the answer to "where it all came from". That's where the Big Bang comes in. Yes, this HAS been recently proven. 2 physicists actually won a Nobel prize for finding proof.

I studied evolution and might have made a career of it, but didn't.

Evolution is is demonstrated fact. Numerous systems, in the laboratory and in nature, have been shown to evolve in a variety of measurable ways. The broader theory of evolution tracing back to a single organism, is sound, but incomplete owing to the gaps in the fossil record. If evolution were completely proved, including abiogenesis, it would say nothing of God or any holy book accounts of creation. It would refute literal interpretations, and that is more than many insecure, insincere loudmouths can take.

Yes it's a theory. Evolution does not say "there is no God." It simply explains what is observed. Aristotle had a theory about how the embryo develops in the womb. He was almost right. Mohamamd included the Greek theory of embryonic development in the recitations to his followers, and they wrote it down in the book you know as the Quran.

The trouble is, that theory is in error. Bones are the last to form, not flesh. Bones actually form inside the flesh that is already formed. Flesh is not placed over bones that are already formed. Science knows that now.

So when you try to disprove a theory, make sure you are not doing it just to support your religion. That is called bias. And make sure you have concrete evidence to support your belief, otherwise your claims cannot convince anyone except the gullible.

I agree that it's a theory. That's why it's called the *Theory* of Evolution. It's not a fact, because then it wouldn't be a theory. It can't yet prove how life initially started. How people can say that "evolution denies God" is beyond me. It doesn't deny anything, except perhaps that someone made people from mud.

I believe that there are 5 types of evolution theory.

Macro evolution is how one kind of animal can developer new breed, or how a plant can start a new stain.

For example, if you have two breeds of dogs an mate them, their offspring may be the start of a new breed of dogs. Or if you cross pollinate two types of roses you may start a new type of rose.

Dogs always have dogs and roses always have roses.

In the Bible things are classified into "Kinds".
Some one thinks that there are about 8,000 kinds of animals and birds.

Scientist use the word "species" to define things, but they are talking about redoing the system because to many things are being put into the same categories and other related things are found to be in different categories.

If two things can reproduce and those can also reproduce then they are of the same kind, if not they are different.

When you say, "Evolution is a theory," here is what you are saying:

"Evolution is as close to a fact as human understanding can get. All of the evidence supports it, there is no evidence against it. It has been demonstrated so conclusively that it would be intellectually dishonest to come to any other conclusion."

In science, a theory is as close to a fact as you can get.

Evolution further doesn't address the origins of life at all. For that, you'd have to look into abiogenesis and physical chemistry. You might wish to look up the Miller-Urey experiment ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miller-Urey_experiment )

Maybe you should have read some books instead yesterday -- I'd suggest, "Evolution: The Triumph of an Idea" by Carl Zimmer. It's quite possible that even you could understand it. Peace.

In science if something is a "theory" it has a lot of empirical evidence behind it. How many times does this need explaining on this board. It has masses of facts to back it up. You theists really need to stop being so scared for your god. It doesn't speak much for your faith if you have to launch into one every time someone says "evolution!"

Everyone studies evolution (or should do) in basic science education. I have done no further work on it, though.
However, I know enough that we do not and probably cannot know the whole of evolution because it happened so long ago. But it makes sense.

Evolution is scientific theory, it is not something dreamed up to prove or disprove God but it is the best evidenced explanation we have to explain how life developed on our planet.
Religion and science have nothing to say to each other as far as I can see, please don't try to confuse the two, science should not be subverted to accommodate the views of people who wish to remain in ignorance through an unrelenting blind faith & adherence to religious scripture.
