First, be more specific. Several very different religions have a god, many which use "God" as the specific way to address said god.
If you mean the Catholic/Christian God, I know you shouldn't be using quotation marks. His is a title, not a "title". Just the way you don't write "Buddha" but rather say Buddha. Or Zeus, or whatever.
With quotations, I can only assume you mean the idea of "God" rather than what I know of God.
That said, I know that the idea of "God" has rescued many a person in the depths of despair, simply because it gave them something to believe in, a reason to hope. The idea of "God" calms fears and gives a purpose to life that the person probably didn't have before they decided to believe. Simply having a "God" is good for your health, not even including the thought of if "God" really exists. Any "God" is good for health, but faith then brings in the "which is real" question.

God is nature. God is "a massive blob of energy that is so bright it is dark and so big it is little." God is in us because we are part of nature. Still God is passive because God is a dreamer, not a participant. God is everything that could possibly exist put together into one source. God is in everything and in nothing. God is the potential and we are the energy. God is only there because existence is here. There is here. You see I touched God, but I live to tell about it. God is not something to reach, God is already here. God is not religious, God just is.

What is revealed in the Bible and our personal lives.
God the eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ. Through Him all things were created, the character of God is revealed, the salvation of humanity is accomplished, and the world is judged. Forever truly God, He became also truly man, Jesus the Christ. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived and experienced temptation as a human being, but perfectly exemplified the righteousness and love of God. By His miracles He manifested God's power and was attested as God's promised Messiah. He suffered and died voluntarily on the cross for our sins and in our place, was raised from the dead, and ascended to minister in the heavenly sanctuary in our behalf. He will come again in glory for the final deliverance of His people and the restoration of all things. (John 1:1-3, 14; Col. 1:15-19; John 10:30; 14:9; Rom. 6:23; 2 Cor. 5:17-19; John 5:22; Luke 1:35; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 2:9-18; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4; Heb. 8:1, 2; John 14:1-3.)

I know nothing about God.
I believe in a God that is the sum total of everything in the universe, a sort of neutral energy that connects everything. But I cannot claim to know anything about this entity. I do not believe it is the one true lord or anything, or that it should change people. But this view has made me happy, and gives me a nicer worldview.

I know that God's name is Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) I know that Jehovah is a loving, just God who does not want a single one of us to perish. I know that He created a world of sight, sound and smell for us as humans that He did not have to create ( everything COULD have been in black and white, or just one color, or one food that satisfied our nutritional needs or a world without smell) I know that Jehovah intended for humans to inhabit the earth, and that He sent His son Jesus Christ to the earth to give mankind another chance at living here forever. I know that it took me YEARS to come to this, and I know that Jehovah is glad that I finally DID! :)

There is no god but He,
The Living, the Everlasting,
Slumber seizes Him not, neither sleep,
To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth.
Who is there that can intercede with His, except by His leave?
He knows what lies before them and what is after them,
And they comprehend not anything of His Knowledge save as He wills.
His throne comprises the heavens and the earth,
The preserving of them fatigues Him not,
And He is the All-High, All-Glorious.
[Al-Quran: Surat al-Baqarah, Ayah 255]

I know one thing: it's important that we believe in God whether there is a God or not. If there is I'm glad; if not, oh well.
Belief in God is very important. Those of you who impugn God, you are not helping matters any.

He is Jehovah to me, although Yahweh might be a more accurate translation. He is my best friend and most loyal companion. He understands me and helps me when everyone else has long since vanished. He is loving and merciful and kind and generous. His love never fails.

That no matter what you think you've learned about Him, you never really "know" it all.
That you are never without Him even when you try to live without Him.
The proof of that is in your questions... and your life.
