OK....I am not looking for your typical answers on this. It does not have to relate to religion at all. We will assume that you are thankful for your faith or lack of and that you are thankful for your family. Beyond that what do you have in your life to be thankful for. Please list 3 things. I am just curious as to what others here are thankful for.

I am thankful for (other than the obvious faith and family answers)

1) My health
2) The freedom and ability to be an independant thinker
3) Diversity.......I could not imagine living in a "cookie cutter" kind of world where every one does (or has to) think and act the same.
It is the diversity that makes life interesting.

I was told by a very believable person that the statistics for them went up after they took God out of schools.
Does anyone have any kind of website that has the statistics for this?

What bothers you more?

People who don't believe in God?

or

People who worship God in a way that's different from yours?

...that both ways, too - but now they're gonna start laying all of the evil on Richard Dawkins, I think.
Who knows what these nuts will do next.

Anyhow, the question:Why do atheists say religion is illogical but then say freewill exists (which is just as illogical)?
Even the super-atheist, Richard Dawkins, said humans are just biological machines and that freewill to make ANY choice is an illusion. Everything we do has a pre-existing cause that was forced upon us by circumstances out of our control.

This is my prayer, i start the days with this, Do you have a better prayer than this? Tell me your prayers!!!

Praise be to God,
Lord of the worlds.

The Beneficent, the Merciful.

Owner of the each and the ultimate
Day of Judgement.
O’Lord!
You alone, we worship;
You alone, we ask for help.

Show us always, the right way,
In each and every matter.

The way of those,
whom You have blessed;

Not the way of those,
Who earn Your anger,
Nor of those who go astray.

Why are we letting "foreign Americans" teach our children to hate the USA? Saudia Arabia is donating millions to our colleges & universities and they are establishing professor slots for them.

Has anybody noticed how much your children have changed when they come home to visit?

What can be done about it? What can we as Christians do to protect our homeland and our families?

I got a new car...bless God, a porsche 911 carrera!

I wanted personal plates that say 1THES5 16

1st thesselonians 5:16 is "be joyful always"

The lady 4 weeks later at the DMV told me they were denied because of offensive material. How is being joyful while I drive a porsche offensive? What should I be, miserable??

I understand my area is highly multicultural and this could be offesnsive....but secular ones are out there that are horrible! I have seen "CHICKMAGNT" "SXMACHNE" "STNRULES" and others.

Any thoughts on this as correct? violation of my rights? Advance of secular humanism?

thanks for everyone that shares a respectful opinion....it is most welcomed

David

“When men strive together, and hurt a woman with child, so that there is a miscarriage, and yet no harm follows, the one who hurt her shall be fined, according as the woman’s husband shall lay upon; and he shall pay as the judges determine. If any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth...“--Exodus 21:22-24

Do you not think that the reason so many people have so many nightmares is because their soul is trying to tell them something they do not want to hear?

All problems stem from ignorance (Hosea 4:6) or selfishness (Phil 2:3) or both.
