A Gallup Survey revealed the main failures that parents exhibit in the raising of their children:
1] No child discipline
2] Parents too lenient
3] Children have it too easy
4] Children neglected
5] Children unattended
6] Parents setting a poor example
7] Children not treated as persons
8] Children given too little responsibility

In a Gallup Youth Survey, it was revealed that parents have reaped what they have sown. The top teenage problems revealed drug and alcohol abuse, unemployment, and peer pressure.

if Yes, please explain these verses to me. please tell me why would Jesus who you love and work for tell YOU these words. he's not gonna say these words to a Muslim or a Hindu or a Jew, he will tell YOU.

Matthew chapter 7

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I Thess 2:8-12

2006-11-21 20:32:27 · 5 answers · asked by D.A. S 5

ISAIAH 43:10,11 — Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and BESIDE ME THERE IS NO .
And:
ISAIAH 45:21 — Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time: who hath told it from that time? have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Savior; THERE IS NONE BESIDE ME
If the above verses are to be understood there is no saviour other than God (Allah). Not, Jesus. Yes, Jesus said: "I Am the way---the truth and the light. No man cometh unto the father but by Me." But that's because he was the MESSENGER of God (Allah) & taught people to woship God (Allah), therefore if you didn't follow his (i.e. Jesus's (PBUH) teaching, you weren't following God (Allah).

I ask only because I was told recently by a Chrisitan that Jesus (PBUH) died for ALL sinners, & I quote: "Even Islamic sinners".
In that case, I have two questions:
1) Does NOT believing Jesus (PBUH) died for my sins make me a sinner?
2) If the answer to that is yes, then surely according to the Christian teachings, that still guarantees me a place in heaven as you claim Jesus died for the sins of mankind?
BTW I'm asking to make people think a little

but because it is passed down the family like a tradition and force fed upon the children when they were young and defenseless?

We have so many different types of religion flourishing and I don't see that all can be true.

If so, how did you find the experience?

I had the great privledge to have been baptized in the Sea of Galilee in 1982. I can't really explain how fantastic it felt but it was something I'll never forget.

and free....?

Personally I dont think it is a coincidence, I think its God's blessing. Perhaps the Christians you curse are the ones who help bring that blessing into all of your homes. If you have an "OPEN MIND" you must accept that as a possiblity, even a samll one. The closed mind is convinced it is always right. Thats my thought and I am entitled to that opinion, I remind you.

As you all entitled to yours, and I'd like to hear any thoughts on the matter....they WILL be received with an open mind.

thanks for respectful, clear answers!

Well earlier today I wanted to smoke but had no money to buy cigarettes. I remember the quality of paper used in bibles was similar to that of rolling paper. I grabbed some cigarette butts from an ashtray to salvage what tobacco they had, and cut a few pages out of the bible and made some cigarettes.

You don't categorize children into political affiliations because we know that they are unable to judge for themselves and choose the right party to support.

However, we are willing to call a child a Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Jew etc yet similarly, the child has yet to develop the capacity to be discerning of these religions.

It seems to me that children are force fed with religious beliefs against their wills.

The mayflower compact is clear. This nation was claimed "for the advancement of the Christian faith"

Ever think its amazingly convenient that the nation that spreads the gospel most in the world (america) is the most blessed with abundance and freedom?

So, what would you rather it was founded on, Islam, judiasm....voodoo??
