I ask only because I was told recently by a Chrisitan that Jesus (PBUH) died for ALL sinners, & I quote: "Even Islamic sinners".
In that case, I have two questions:
1) Does NOT believing Jesus (PBUH) died for my sins make me a sinner?
2) If the answer to that is yes, then surely according to the Christian teachings, that still guarantees me a place in heaven as you claim Jesus died for the sins of mankind?
BTW I'm asking to make people think a little

No i don't think so! and here's the proof.

Matthew chapter 7

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Yes, Jesus died for everyone, but it's up to each one of us to decide whether we accept that gift.

We are all sinners - believing in Jesus does not change that. However, believing in and following Jesus is the way we can accept the gift of Jesus's sacrifice as payment for our sins.

This is a very complicated question you've asked. If you're genuinely interested, check out the link below:

i think it the way it is phrased the sacrifice of jesus happened for mankind.
i dont think not believing makes you a sinner, i think that you could apply for the lost sheep job.
to be a sinner you would have to go against fundamentals and not repent (i am thinking in the terms of serious crimes here)
but yes in all holy books i have read you can find a little back window of hope that in all religions that base their bla bla on love even the non believer who has led a just life will at the day of judgment see the light and be accepted.

ps. i am of no particular belief but i read alot on these topics because of my job

Certainly yes! Jesus Christ died for the sin of mankind and you too are included. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and believe that Christ died for you sins too, and you are no longer a sinner, a of course a place for you in heaven is guaranteed provided, you claim all the time that you are no longer a sinner and that Christ has taken upon himself all your sins. Simple!

All humans are sinners simply because they are born of Adam & Eve. All humans who love Jesus and accept Him as saviour are cleansed from all sin. In addition they received the right to go to Heaven.

think about this a little. Accepting that forgivness and believing on Him is what saves not His hanging on the cross all by itself. You must want to be God's friend and accept Jesus as you attorney at Judgement the big M is going to, be assured of that.

To say that Jesus died for all sinners and to say that Jesus is everyones savior are to say two different things. Jesus did die for all sinners and that includes islamic sinners. The gift of eternal life is offered to everyone but unfortunately all do not accept it.
1) Not believing Jesus died for your sins does not make you a sinner. You are a sinner regardless of what you believe. Romans 3:23 says " for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God".
2) James 2:19 says "You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder". The point James is trying to make in that passage is that there are two levels of belief: a)Belief that ....b)belief in
'Belief that' is simply an intellectual belief. It's believing that Jesus died for your sins the way you believe that 2+2=4. That doesn't save you.
'Belief in' is the type of belief where you totally commit yourself to whatever you believe in and trust in it and live for it.
I could say I believe Judy would make me a good wife. That's 'Belief that'. When I finally decide to ask her to marry me then that's 'belief in'.
I'll give you another example. Back in the 1800's there was a famous tightrope artist. One of his exhibitions is where he would put a tightrope across Niagra Falls. He would then ask the crowd, "how many of you think I can walk across this tightrope to the other side"? Everyone would raise their hands because he had done it many times in the past. That's 'Belief that'. He would then bring out a wheelbarrow and say "how many of you think I could put someone in this wheelbarrow and wheel him across and back"? Again, everyone would raise their hands because he had done that before too. That's 'Belief that'. Then he would say "who will volunteer to get into the wheelbarrow and let me wheel him across"? Not one hand would go up. That's 'Belief in'. 'Belief in' is where you actually get into the wheelbarrow and put your life into the hands of the man guiding you across.
Jesus said in Mathew 16:24 "If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me".
True saving faith is a total commitment of oneself to Christ.
As a muslim your Jesus is not the same Jesus that christians follow. It's not the same Jesus of the bible. Your Jesus is just a prophet(not even the main prophet). The Christian Jesus is God in Human flesh. As a Muslim, you can't say that you believe that Jesus died for your sins for 2 reasons: A) You don't believe in the same Jesus that the gospel writers talked about B) You don't even believe Jesus died for our sins. Sura 4:157 specifically says that Jesus didn't die on a cross. If you believe the Koran then you obviously don't believe Jesus even died on a cross. If you don't believe the Koran, then why are you a Muslim?
Salvation is offered to everyone including Muslims but you must put your faith in the God of the bible. The bible says that in order to come into the presence of a Holy Righteous God, one's sins must be paid for. I don't know of anyone who even claimed to pay for the sins of the world except Jesus. Buddha didn't, Krishna didn't and neither did Mohammad.
You may say "that's very narrow". That's what Jesus said. Jesus said in John 14:6 " I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes unto the father but by me". But be honest. Do you really think that I, as a christian, am going to heaven? Not if you're a true Muslim. Muslims believe only Muslims are going to heaven. So you're no different than me. God loves all muslims but they must turn to Christ if they want their sins paid for. But I do believe that in the end times(which I believe we are in), many muslims will turn to the real Christ and abandon Islam. I say this based upon Isaiah 19:23-25 which says "In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrians will come into Egypt and the Egyptians into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.
In that day Israel will be the third party with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth,
whom the LORD of hosts has blessed, saying, "Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance."

1) No, it's being HUMAN that makes you a sinner.
2) I can't follow your reasoning here. You must repent and accept Jesus' death and resurrection, that is, His atoning sacrifice, in order to be saved. Unrepentant sinners, "even Islamic sinners," will go straight onto Satan's BBQ grill.

well i think by asking this you believe!! hehe
im a maronite catholic (christian, speak arabic) i dont think it is a sin because according to us, you have no idea about it and God judges you fairly. for ex, if you have no right to becaome a catholic because you were forced to by ur parents, God would take that into thought. i hope you understand me. and when they say Jesus died for the siners, it means in the begining Adam and Eve disobayed God and closed the gates of Heaven etc, and then he sent Jesus to redeem everyone and for Adam and Eves sin and re-opened the gates of Heaven by a sacrafice. all he had to do is cut himself and offer that up to God but instead he took his life and preached to everyone, etc.

i hope that answered your question! good thinking! xXxo0o
God bless you!! hehe =]

Most sects of Christianity have been reduced to crucification only. If and only if people apply 10 commandments for instance the world would have been a much better place.
What's the point of creating gods before God? when it's prohibited in the first commandment?
