Just wish as an American that we had not tried genocide on the
American Natives. Do you call that Christian or maybe more like infidels. The Gospel has ruined more countries and cultures than any other religion in the world. To think at one time I would have like to have been an Evangelist and spread the gospel is unthinkable now. We spread hate, killing, prodigious, and just plain lies to the world. But the people of the world is sick and tiered of America. Now we are the most hatted nation in the World. You soon will not be safe to travel this is how hatted the Americans are. America lost democracy long ago our founding fathers would turn over in their Graves is they could see it now.

This country was not founded on the Mayflower Compact. It was founded on the Constitution of the United States, which promoted many Enlightenment ideas, such as the separation of church and state.
Oh, and please... don't be absurd and reductionist with the other things this country could have been founded on. That shows an extreme naivete about American history and a reliance on creating absurdist maxims to promote your position. At least do some research, please. You're certainly smart enough for it.
PS - to the poster above: this country was not founded on atheism either. It was founded with the idea that religious belief (or lack thereof) shouldn't even be a concern. Remember, secularism is not "anti-religion." Secularism merely means religion shouldn't enter into the discussion.

Sure that's true, but it was stolen from the Indians because they didn't have paper and a military or legal system to match England, France & Spain and had it not been for the lower class fighting the wars, we would be England, so god bessed the the stepchildren of England or mother country, by giving her this beautiful country and gave the indians resivasions, now look at this country the christian faith is truly sturggling to keep faith, now the truths of christianty are showing, God Bless America

America was founded by a mostly Christian group of men, but was not founded solely on Christian beliefs. Although there are Christian symbols and references in our history America was at the time a totally new idea of freedom and democracy and the separation of church and state. America was founded more on the principles of the original Senate and the People concept of the old Roman Empire prior to the empowerment of the ruling class of Emperors than on Christianity.

The founding fathers were deists, not Christians. The spread of Christianity was a rationalization for exploiting the New World for its resources. America was founded on economic motives.

If you look at the snapshot of the current 100 years, you have a point there.
If you zoom out in time scale or look at the different time in history, you will have a different view point.
Look at the Roman empire, look at the Mogolian empire or Eypgtian empire. They all have their glorious time in History.
They could all claim their religion and faith were the "real" and "powerful" one.

i think christian belief is the one that led this country to be what it is, the whole unity thing with some arrogance perfect could not be done better any other way, unless protestant i guess, but all the other ones would have gotten too much of their religion and wouldnt have allowed the immigrants we have today

It was founded on Free-Masonry disguised as Christianity, But as a nice alternative, how about founding it on Intelligence, Logic and Reason??? Would you not agree to that? why must there be religion at all?
