more times than you would believe. Note my income took adrop this year and I have Pecan trees which feed off water from my drainage fields so while many suffered a drought thus fewer pecans higher prices. How does it work, I dunno but perhaps I am just lucky.
One time I needed a specific amount and for an important reason, no source evident. My Vet service officer called a day in advance met me at a bar and told me I had an amount due me that was 2 dollars more than I needed and $2 was the amount we spent on nickel beers, my treat. I have a million of them.
go ahead write it off to chance, u no , like mans existance u silly lil pork chop. i don't mind a bit.

The key word is need and yes God does provide for all my needs.
Must I work? A little. But the less I attend to wants the less work I find necessary. Wants are constantly manufactured by the system.
Now I like bacon with my eggs and savory morsels of pork in sweet and sour sauce is a favorite. I am thinking you might like to come by for dinner one evening and we could both express thanks for the blessings of providence.
Explaining the divine economy to an inquisitive one such as yourself would be a pleasure. That reminds me, I need to buy some Rye bread and mustard for sandwich left overs.

He's never paid a single one of those, adorable piggy.
And here's something that's almost not funny:
Yesterday, someone asked about churches not paying taxes, and I answered that maybe since the church is so charitable, they'd pay my property tax bill in January.
For something as simple as that, I was, of course, reported.
You can't even joke around here unless you have the IQ of a 5-year-old:-(

We had help from a church way long ago and it helped pay the rent. Does that count? Otherwise it's only my signature or my Husbands on those checks. Hey God? Rent is coming up again!! Where are you? By the way, both me and my Hubby work darn hard to come out a tiny bit ahead. And I mean tiny!

It comes a great flood, the preacher is on the roof of the church when a rowboat comes along. The guy says “get in the boat preacher.’ The preacher says “ no think you, the lord will take care of me” So as time passes another rowboat comes by. The guy says “get in the boat preacher.’ The preacher says “ no think you, the lord will take care of me” So as time passes the water rises and the preacher is hanging on to the steeple. Then a helicopter comes by and a man calls down “grab the rope and we will pull you up” The preacher says “ no think you, the lord will take care of me”
So as time passes the water rises and the preacher drowns. When the preacher gets to heaven he asks God “God what happen, I though you would take care of me?” God says “Hell I sent you two rowboats and a helicopter, what more did you wont?”
God expects you to take care of your self!
God takes care of those that take care of them selves
God expects us to take care of each other.

i think the general idea of God is that s/he provides us with everything. in this case, God doesn't exactly sign a check and mail it to the landlord, but s/he does provide you with the ability and means to earn the money, to have the bank account, to sign a check, to get to the post office, and to mail the payment. (and all the other minute actions involved in such a task.)
also a lot of people believe that God is in all of us, so when you think about it, anything you do is really done by God....
so it depends on your perspective i guess

even in bible times men were expected to work----indeed---the bible says the man who wont work doesn't eat. even then he who walked with a staff (the disabled) were exempted from working and were allowed to eat. Those other scriptures quoted were not to mean we could just lay around and have everything handed to us on a platter--that was never the intent----we must work.
