John 1:1-3
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

It is an explanatory principle, much like the word gravity. If you try to actually define it you end up in a tautology. To demonstrate: what is gravity. Gravity is what makes an apple fall to the ground. What makes an apple fall to the ground. That is gravity. It really tells us little about gravity. the only fact is that apples fall to the ground. With gravity we are better off than in dealing with God because we can measure how hard the apple falls and actually get useful information. With God we can't.

God?
god is ALLAH.
ALLAH is god...
Who is Allah? Allah is the creator. The only one. He created all around us in beauty and perfection. He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none comparable to him. Muslims use the word Allah in Arabic because it is a special word (it has no plural nor gender. I.e. God, Goddess, Gods), it means the only worthy of worship. Jesus (Pbuh) used a similar word in Aramaic Ellah (or Allah) when referring to God.

This is how GOD describe HIMSELF in the HOLY QURAN. No one can fit in this category:

[112:1] Proclaim, "He is the One and only GOD.
[112:2] "The Absolute GOD.
[112:3] "Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten.
[112:4] "None equals Him."
