Why would an intelligent designer (eg. God) design humans (and most other mammals actually) with really shoddely wired retinas?

In the eyeball, which most creationists seem to tote as being an example of a designer, all the light sensitive cells of the retina are partially covered with nerves and blood vessels that block light and inhibit vision. Not only that but where these nerves and blood vessels leave the eye the light sensetive cells are pushed aside which creates a blind spot.

Molluscs such as octopii and squids don't have this problem as their retinas are "wired" in a more appropriate fashion, from the back, so no light is blocked and no blind spot exists.

So going by this, what basis is there that the human (or rather generic mammal) eyeball is intelligently designed?

If the muslim god Allah promises unrestrained hedonism in muslim heaven, why doe he condemn hedonistic behaviour on earth, is the muslim god Allah a two-faced god.

I am refering to the virgins, young boys, wine, wealth...all the pleasures a person desires...which is promised to the person who gets into heaven.

Koran 78:31
As for the righteous, they shall surely triumph. Theirs shall be gardens and vineyards, and high- bosomed virgins for companions: a truly overflowing cup.

Koran 37:40-48
...They will sit with bashful, dark-eyed virgins, as chaste as the sheltered eggs of ostriches.

Koran 52:24
Round about them will serve, to them, boys (handsome) as pearls well-guarded.

Koran 56:17
Round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness.

Koran 83:23-26
The righteous will surely dwell in bliss. Reclining upon soft couches they will gaze around them: and in their faces you shall mark the glow of joy. They shall be given a pure wine to drink, securely sealed...

Please read the following:
MATTHEW 5:19, MATTHEW 15:9, MATTHEW 19:17, MARK 10:19, LUKE 1:6, JOHN 14:15, JOHN 14:21, JOHN 15:10, 1CORINTHIANS 7:19, 1JOHN 2:3, 1JOHN 2:4, 1JOHN 3:22, 1JOHN 3:24, 1JOHN 5:2, 1JOHN 5:3, 2JOHN 1:6, REVELATION 14:12,

Why do christians still say that the commandments of God was abolished? Isnt christianity keeping Gods commandments, trusting and having the faith of Jesus?

REVELATION 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Is this statement wrong?

...or are we deceived?
MATTHEW 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

In the Islam, the shiites, practise contract marriage.Which means the man enters into a contract to marry a woman for a fixed period of time , maybe six months . After that , the man is free to enter in a contract marriage with another woman. There is no limit on the number of times you enter into such a contract marriage . The prophet muhammed permitted this on the reasoning that it will prevent fornification. But as i see it , the contract marriage allows man to enjoy fornication to his hearts desire.

The following statement is true:

"On the day in question X did not know the first law of thermodynamics"

The first law of thermodynamics ("FLT") says that you can neither create nor destroy energy.

Which of the following statements is true:
1. X did not know what that the FLT said but knew that you can neither create nor destroy energy.
2. X neither knew what the FLT said nor knew that you could neither create nor destroy energy
3. X knew both what the FLT said and that you could neither create nor destroy energy.

Does this not show that even if uphold that the whole of the Bible or the Quran is literally true there still exist many possible interpretations. Just as in my example the statement is true - but it does not bring you knowledge, you cannot distinguish between the possible interpretations.

The Bible instructs us not to pray about truth but to "search the Scriptures":

"Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so." - Acts 17:11

Even more, Mormons ask unbelievers, those who "turn their ears away from listening to the law", to pray about truth, when the Bible says that their prayers are an abomination to God.

"He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, Even his prayer is an abomination." - Proverbs 28:9

Why would someone base "truth" on a subjective feeling?
Haven't you ever "felt" something was right, only to find out later that you were dead wrong?
How do you know that your "burning in the bosom" is not heartburn?
Why aren't proselytes encouraged to search the Scriptures to determine if Joseph Smith was a true prophet?

According to a Chicago Tribune article Christianity is "a more than $4 billion a year religious entertainment industry, including amusement parks, music, books, movies and wrestling matches."
... and that is but a part of it.
I contend that religions are right up there with the "Enron"s of the world.
There is a hierarchy that lives very well off of believers flow of cash. Some
like Reverend Haggard even managed to enjoy contributors cash at his both ends.
As I understand Christian history, in biblical days congregants met in
believers homes and the service leader had another job to supply his income.
What a change from todays mega churches.
Can you be honest with yourselves as to why you shell out hard earned
cash to commune with your God?
Is calling you a sucker appropriate or is there something else in that
edifice you call a church, mosque or synagog that you are really paying for?

Mary, who is a virgin gets pregnant. Joseph returns home from a 7 month long trip and discovers this shame. Mary comes up with an excuse, like the Son of God is in her. Joesph almost buys the story, but goes along with it anyhow and they move to a town called Bethlehem to avoid local shunning.

Bethlehem at the time was small and boring, so any news (far fetched) was interresting. The entire town buys the Son of God story. From that point on, Jesus is convinced to be the "son of God" for 30 years, until he makes an appearance with all of this great wisdom, which is where the bible picks up his great stories..

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. (Matthew 6:14-15)

What does this mean to you????

We have the same teaching in Islam but I wanted to know your interpretation!

Respectfully,

How much faith do you put in hadith/sunnah?
I know that there are many false and insulting hadith/sunnah about the prophet.
