It is best to do what God has told you to do and do it then. I have been there. You are always happier when you are in Gods will than when out of it.

God never tells any man to do anything immediately without thinking. Such commands are but imaginations.
God revealed His Will in the Holy Books and allowed man to use years of hearing, reading, thinking, praying, meditating... before doing anything in the Service of His Divine and Eternal Cause.

If I'm smart I listen. If I don't I hang on tight cause I know that I'm in for a heck of a ride.

If I listen it means that I have learned from my past experience. If I don't it means that I still need to feel the negative consequences of my actions to help me see the light.

Love and blessings Don

LOL, I remember the Book of Jonah. God told him to go to the Ninevites and tell them to repent; Jonah was too scared to go to Israel's fiercest enemy, so he ran. Two whole chapters are devoted to Jonah's trying to reason with God (and losing), then trying to run from God (and never truly getting away from Him). Once he accepted God's will for him, peace came.

This story is in the Bible for a specific purpose: to tell us we cannot get away from God's will. We can be disobedient, but He sticks with us even when we go against His will. Once we're broken, He shows us the way. I praise Him for that.

I wish you peace, also.

Through life experiences, I do it as soon as He says. I was stubborn early in my Christian walk , and I had consequences that weren't great, so now I completely follow and not at a snails pace!!

If I start hearing "God" talk to me than I'm checking myself into a mental institution seeing as how he doesn't exist.
