So, if so...why do we still follow the Old Testament? I get somewhat confused with this. One of the things in my mind is tattoos. Why would we feel they are sinful? Where did Jesus say they are wrong? Yes, of course to HURT ourselves in the sense of cutting our bodies for pain , is wrong. But Tattoos of pretty things? Yes, I believe there are nasty looking tattoos but I know many Christians who have gentle tattoos. I don't think they are wrong. Tell me how you feel please. Many questions on here, not just one. God Bless:)

One day a kindergarden teacher was having her class draw a picture, as she walked around the room she stopped and asked one of the little girls, what are you drawing a picture of? the child replied and said I am drawing a picture of God, The teacher said to the child; honey no one knows what God looks like. The little girl looked up at her and without missing a beat said; well they will in a minute

I am thinking of going to a theological institute to learn deeply about Christianity. Anyone ever taken this path and not continued? What were your reasons?

Has anyone not been sure, but ended up pursuing the ministry.

I am a Christian of 6 months, and am very eager to dig in deep.

Thanks for your answers :)

The Noble 8-Fold Path is as follows:

1. Right View
2. Right Intention
3. Right Speech
4. Right Action
5. Right Livelihood
6. Right Effort
7. Right Mindfulness
8. Right Concentration

These act as guidelines to ensure appropriate frames of mind and relationships. To my mind, they focus on much more important matters and reflections than the pedantic laws of the Old Testament or Pauline Christianity.

For reference purposes, here are the 10 Commandments:

1. You shall have no other Gods but me.
2. You shall not make for yourself any idol, nor bow down to it or worship it.
3. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
4. You shall remember and keep the Sabbath day holy.
5. Respect your father and mother.
6. You must not kill.
7. You must not commit adultery.
8. You must not steal.
9. You must not give false evidence against your neighbour.
10. You must not be envious of your neighbour's goods. You shall not be envious of his house nor his wife, nor anything that belongs to him.

I am taking time off from my relationship to focus on God and make sure I am basing a relationship on a solid foundation. If you could start over with your marriage what would you change about the dating phase of you relationship?

This is an exciting opportunity for me to focus on what I need to make marriage work. All thoughts are welcome.

What can we do to end all animosity between all walks of faiths? How can we learn to be nice to each other and not try to force beliefs on others? Can't execpt them as different? Doesn't God want us all to get along?

How can we judge our religion or faith as the only right one. It maybe be right for u it maybe not be right for me. So can't we listen before we rush to judgement about others? Anyway we're not suppose to Judge.

does JC condone teenage pregnancy?
does He condone premarital sex among his flock?

I think the problem is that all these little Christian teenagers have all these hormones, but their religion forbids them to learn sex-ed, and then they get pregnant because they don't know how to use a condom.

What is your take on "Jacob's Ladder" that Jacob saw in a dream at Bethel where "Heaven's Gate" opened and a ladder descended to the Earth, and angels were seen descending and ascending the ladder? (Please, no weird UFO or alien answers.)

Personally, I suspect that this has to do with a yet future event that will be fulfilled in which Heaven's Gate will open, and the ladder is symbolic of a Supernatural Vibratory Frequency (the Trumpet) released upon a body of people symbolized by the five virgins (sheep) who will be prepared to meet their Groom with their full lamps. It will "transform" and “empower” those prepared in "a twinkling of an eye" fulfilling the symbolism behind Christ’s Transfiguration. It will happen as a “Thief in the Night” and suddenly the Door (Gate) will close, resulting in the five unprepared virgins (goats) not receiving the power to survive the Tribulation and thus they will become the Martyred Saints, while the Transfigured Ones shall be those who will not know death, the Immaculate Bride of Christ. Any thoughts on this?

I lost my best friend after the erth quake that hit San Francisco in 1989. He suicide , he had severe burns all over his body . WHo caused the earthquake ? Obviosly if God created nature he created earthquakes too, and all the suffering that comes with it. Who are you supposed to pray when a loved one suffers and dies because of a natural disaster, how can you still have faith in GOD?

ATTENTION NON-MUSLIMS:

Im taking a sample here to see if there are ANY MUSLIMS, ANY AT ALL, WHO WILL SPECIFICALLY TYPE OUT AGREEMENT. The point I am making is that most Muslims know that Muhammad owned black slaves and that, under Islam, everything Muhammad did was perfect, and to be copied for all time.

So they will make all kinds of claims, but they wont ever contradict Islam, which is why you will find almost no Muslims who will type or say "I am a Muslim. I agree, that enslaving a human can never be an excellent example of conduct"

MUSLIMS:

MAKE ME A FOOL BY SIMPLY TYPING ---

"I am a Muslim. I agree, that enslaving a human can never be an excellent example of conduct"
