I hear frequent comments that organized religion is responsible for wars. If that is true, then how was organized religion responsible for these wars?

What religions were responsible then for:
World War I
World War II
Korean War
Vietnam War
The American Civil War
The French Revolutionary War
The American Revolutionary War?
The War of 1812
The Spanish American War?
The Cuban Revolution?
The overthrow of the Czars in Russia?

My point, please stop blaming organized religion for all the evils of this world. It's not the source. The real source is the diferences and the stubbornness of humankind who refuses to work on getting along with people who don't agree.

Sura 53 Verse 19. Do ye see Al-Lat and Al-Ozza,
20. And Manat the third idol besides?
THESE ARE THE EXALTED FEMALES
MOUNTING NEARER AND NEARER TO ALLAH.

how can Mohammed be trusted if he says that idol are exalted?

Sura 16, verse 103, When we change one verse for another, and Allah knoweth best what he revealeth, they (Christians and Jews) say, "Thou art only a fabricator (how true)." Nay! but most of them have no knowledge.

how can you trust the Koran if it says that they latter change one verse for another.

Koran, Sura 22, verses 50-52, But those who strive to invalidate our signs (Al Koran) shall be inmates of Hell. We have not sent any apostle or prophet before thee, among whose desires Satan injected not some wrong desire, but God shall bring to naught that which Satan had suggested.

how can it be that satan can make the pophets to lie?

With all the fighting, hunger, poverty, and hate in the world, where is god?
adding to this question, why do people base their entire lifes around god? i mean i attend church on sundays, i thank god for the food on my plate, but i have a friend who has a quote from the bible to say to me every time i do something wrong. why do people base thier entire life on someone who they have never seen? and who doesent show themselfs if they do exist?

There was an article on my homepage today about Elton John. From what I read, he thinks all religion should be banned because it teaches hatred and homophobia. When I read this, it kind of made me laugh. I wondered if he had his toes stepped on one too many times. Have any other Christians here read this? What is your opinion?

1 Timothy 2:12 - I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.

I don't understand if its so clear and blunt in the Bible that a women is not to lead or teach, how do denominations justify ordaining women to be pastors? I actually go to a church that allows women to be pastors, but I'm beginning to question my denomination.

Please state your DENOMINATION and opinion on this issue.

A baby dying hours after birth.
A teen killing themselves because nobody listens to them.
A man killing another because if he didn't, he himself would be killed.
A woman getting an abortion because if she didn't, she herself would die along with her to-be-child.

Why do Christians think the destruction of the entire planet by fire and the consequent deaths of millions of people is a good thing,so good in fact that if jesus doesn't show up,they are prepared to INITIATE the end of days to see their messiah.Isn't that a bit selfish?

I would rather be second in command of hell, then just another servant serving God in heaven. They say if I am bad I will go to hell. So I am going to be really bad, that way when I get there, they will automatically promote me. Who wants to be another nameless servant, when you can reign supreme in hell?

Why didn't Jesus write anything Himself? Does He mention a desire for others to write what He said?

Name one material thing and one non-material thing.

For those of you who are not familiar with the term "material" being used in this context (and there are a few out there, so don't jump down my **** about posting this part), it means something you own, like an iPod or a book or a llama or cd, etc, something that can be held or touched and something non-material would be something like "world peace" or "harsher punishments for parole violators" or something you can't hold or touch, but the effects can still be felt everywhere by everyone.

my Body and Blood symbolicly (I'm talking about the last supper) and in John 6 when Jesus says that whoever eats his Flesh and Blood will have eternal life and when the Jews question him and he once again says if you do not eat his Body and Blood you have no eternal life (instead of saying to the jews I just mean the bread represents my body)... why don't you take those words literally?
