I used to be Catholic, but sometimes I still do it for the calming power of chanting or at rosary sayings before funerals. I did it more in my childhood when I needed a closer feel to God.
Several years ago, my husband wrote an article on how to pray the rosary. It really goes into depth of each prayer and the meaning. The article has been circling the web for many years not and I have seen it translated into other languages.

Yes, by myself and mostly when a close family or friend needs prayers. I'll say a Novena.

My dad does, usually alone. I can't espouse Western tradition any longer, but he attributes all sorts of miracles to his work making and praying the rosary.
I find coincidence and the natural tendency for disease to ease as practical, but I wish I had his unquestioning faith from time to time.
About 0.2% of the time, because I need everything in numbers.

In my childhood, I said it every night with my mother :)
Later on, in my early teens I only said it when I had to (because I went to a Catholic school) so I was with friends.
Now I say it by myself, although rarely, and I've prayed with close friends too.

I'm sure someone does, but I don't. But, I don't do it with family, friends AND just by myself.

Whatever rows your boat. Studies have shown that it is mainly said by small children, the deluded, village idiots, and the superstitious. Learning to play the bagpipes is much more rewarding.
