CHILDOFHEKATE -- I am *not* your "pagan sis", and I have reported several of your hate-filled diatribes his evening.

Well, most Christians do not hesitate to express their opinions about pagans. And I know some pagans that just looove to challenge the views of Christians!

But some pagans and Christians can both be guilty of being close minded and judgemental, when both religions discourage that type of condemnation in general.

If one is tempted to use religion to prove how spiritually evolved one is and belittle someone else, stop to rethink the motivation of that move, what the consequences of those actions might be, and whether or not it might be betraying the religion itself. Chances are the motivation will not be one of religious fervour, but more like that of an ego trip, to put it harshly.

It is a tough balance, but one well worth aspiring to.

Peace to you all!

On the graph between the totally deluded (Christians, Mormons, Muslims) and the totally enlightened (atheists), I'd say pagans are far less deluded than the monotheists, slightly less deluded than the scientologists & wiccans, but not quite as enlightened as the buddhists & agnostics.

Keep trying hard and you'll eventually find reality.

Granted, very few religious goers have the tolerance and understanding they preach everyone should live up to, and in todays society where everyone can create their own religion and every religion is out to prove the other is wrong, I would be one lost puppy if not for the fact I took up the Bible and read it for myself, asking GOD for HIS wisdom be shown to me.

with that said, be they Gentile or Jew alike, and Id have to say CHRISTian or Catholic or Baptist, or even labelled "pagan". Those that have a personal relationship with GOD within their heart (and even some not aware of GOD) -- will be judged and understood by GOD when their time comes.

I am to love others as I love myself, and in knowing that, understand that some people will not be able to convert to my own beliefs.

I am CHRISTian, for I believe in what CHRIST teaches. in that so long as a person who calls himself a pagan or not, acts justly to others, kind to the poor and oppressed, and does not mistreat me for not believing in their rituals, than I say let GOD judge their heart when the time comes.

whatever "pagans" do to get through the madness of this world, is their own business. So long as they are not sacrificing my dog, my daughter, or insisting I take part in group sex parties, then I havent a problem with them. Just keep the music down at nights.

Most people dont see the "why" people choose the things they do.
I met a blind man who would hang around a religious organization -- I say orgainzation because the True Church of GOD is not on 4th street, but within a persons heart.
but they treated him like a second class citizen, and no one paid him any mind when he ranted about a cute name he called everyone. This scared everyone.
When I asked him what it meant, he said it was the name of his dog that died.

No one took the time to talk to this man before, just like many people dont want to talk to "pagans"
when you do, youll find out that they have feelings and events that might have forced them to be alittle diferent.

Its not my place to judge anyone, its only my place to try to Love everyone.
Beat someone up in my presence, well of course Il try to stop it.

But understanding and tolerance, is sometimes what we need to do. When you have that, youll find all people arent as bad as they may seem. GOD knows this, and thast why HE will choose all sorts of people with goodness in their heart when the time comes.
If not, then I pray for mercy on my soul!

We are supposed to give honor and respect to all life. But there is a thin line
between giving honor, and worshipping. Is one really more sophisticated when
one has to give offerings to "appease" the spirits?
People think they know what they're doing and they don't. They think they are gaining control over rhings, but end up being enslaved.
I say all the time. Why spend all that energy trying to control a few spiritual beings, who will turn on their master and escape if they get the chance. When they can
have an army of jinn, by simply asking them!
The Master learns to control by not controlling. And is therefore FREE!

Am I supposed to think badly or good of them?
I forget.
Usually I have to know someone to form an opinion of them, one individual at a time.
I am teaching my son NOT to paint groups with the same brush, but on a case by case basis.
One person does not represent the group, just her(him)self.

Having been one for a short time, I think we (Christians) have ALOT to learn from you guys.

1) Respect and love for the earth and God's creation. Nature is extraordinarily beautiful, and we need to preserve it, spend time in it, and love it for the gift it is.

2) Individuality in worship and faith practices -- Unfortunately, far too many Christians go to Church on Sunday and consider that their faith life and practice. Sunday is just the warm-up. We need to learn to practice prayer, stewardship, servanthood, and love throughout the entire week. One thing to say about Pagans, is that they joy in their worship and they are active and take initiative.

3) Study of religious texts and authors (and political issues). Far too many Christians sit back and let the pastor tell them what to think and who to vote for. We need to improve our study habits, and truly immerse ourselves in this Book we claim to preach and practice.

(To name a few issues, I'm sure that I'll probably think of more later, and be disappointed that I forgot them...but this is a starter list!)

I don't usually put anyone down, although, I do tend to protect the Innocent.
It's not to hard to ascertain what is with these religions, like in any religion we have different people with differences of perspectives, so we shouldn't go pointing fingers, that's why there's no end in all this bickering.

PEACE! peace!

Christians think that that pagans are sinners in need of Jesus Christ our Savior just as much as Christians need Him.
