Well, of the two answers, as a Christian I have to of course say that it's got to be gay people. The sanctity of marriage includes a the possibility of a HEALTHY family, which accepts and celebrates the differences between the sexes. Men are masculine and women are feminine. Our whole lives and personalities are imprinted during the first couple of years. Infants are almost entirely instinctual so they should be raised the way children have been raised since the beginning. Without a positive clear male and female parent the child gets confused about relationships. Remember when men were men? I don't mean gay/straight. I mean when a man knew what it meant to be a man. When being a man meant strength, courage, honor and respect for his wife and family? Men don't understand that anymore. Shoot! We don't even open doors for women anymore! And Women don't accept the gift of a gentleman opening the door for her! We have to learn what it means to be a man the hard way now. And far too few "men" learn it at all these days. Society must encourage relationships that are healthy. I'm not saying that two gay ADULT people can't have healthy relationships. Any two MATURE adults can maintain a healthy relationship. I'm saying that young children can't understand gay relationships so they can't have ANY possibility of learning what a healthy HUMAN relationship means (by being a true man/woman) in a world in which the line between masculine feminine is blurred.
But I think that there are far worse crimes against marriage. Principal among these is premarital sex. The sexual revolution is the worst movement of all time. It has done more harm to humanity than anything else EVER. Worse even (in the long run) than the Holocaust. And FAR worse than homosexuality. 'Course the long term effects of homosexuality haven't been measured yet.

The horrible threat to the sanctity of marriage is everywhere:
Any people forgetting the purpose of marriage in producing and educating children for the continuation of the noble human race to thankfully glorify the Eternal Creator.

Neither one. The only threat is people that think they have the right to decide who can or can't GET married, people that think that anyone other than the people involved should have any say in the matter whatsoever, people that want to legislate marriage simply becasue of their own prejudices and bigotry....THEY are the only threat to the sanctity of marriage.

Haha.
Considering 2 out of 3 marriages in the US end up in divorce, I wonder when marriage has ever been considered sacred?

Gay people marry and so did Britney.
They choose their own paths.
You can keep your marriage sacred without feeling threatened.
