Shouldn't you be happy if the doctor says "sir (or ma'am), you have cancer." This means you'll be with Jesus sooner than you thought. Is it really your right to tamper with "god's plan" for your death by using human medicine? Maybe there is some hypocrisy here? Maybe deep down inside you down swallow your own belief that you'll be in heaven and everything is okay? I dunno. You tell me. Answer the initial question: Why do you go to the hospital/doctor/take medication when you're sick?

There is this guy who is dying of cancer, he prays that they find a cure. He dies and goes to heavan and when there he asks God "Why did you not send someone to find a cure?"
He replied," I did but you aborted them."

1961 years ago (or so) time began... well, the Julian Calendar did anyway. They said anything before Christ would be counted up from year zero, and they would end the specific date with "BC", meaning "before Christ."

Recently a movement has taken this beloved recognition of Jesus' life and perverted it with the addition of the letter "E", calling it "BCE" instead. It means "Before Common Era" or "Before Current Era," though the actual date zero remains the same.

It won't be long before our society completely forgets the meaning of the date. Am I the only one who gets pissed off when the National Geographic Channel or History Channel calls a date BCE or uses the designation CE instead of AD?

I've seen it several times, just today. Why do Christians eat pork? Why don't adulterous wives get stoned to death? Why don't Christians BEAT their children? "The Bible SAYS...."

Have these people actually READ the Bible through? Do they understand it? Do they understans times and context? Literary forms?

I know the spiritual cannot be understood by the carnal, but black & white (& red) print?

Putting aside Believer versus Non-Believer, isn't it just humaly WRONG to attack someone's beliefs if you know nothing about them?

I mean ones that are obviously false reporting. Not ones that are possibly valid. I have also noticed a lot of thumb downers for no reason.

I used to be Catholic, but in name only. Now that I have spent years searching for the truth and studying, I feel that I should return to the Church. However, I do not understand transubstantiation. Could someone please explain that, preferably in a way that is fairly straightforward?

9/11 does not count. That and the earlier bombing of the trade centers were due to america stationing forces in saudi arabia.

I am doing a paper on negative effects of on america due to U.S. suppot of israel.

It has to be on america, and be due to suppot of israel. I would enjoy some links too if you can.

A guy I met in the Navy said some lady in Norfolk used to read him passages from this thing, he said it was some kind of pagan holy book or something, and told me I might like to read it. I've asked around, but nobody seems to know anything about it. Well, I was reading one of those "Vampire" books, and they mentioned it there too... but I don't know if it's real or not, or if it is real, I don't know how to find it anyway.

Leviticus 11:8

"And don't eat pork, since pigs have divided hoofs, but they do not chew their cud. Don't even touch a dead pig!"

it seems like there are too many loop holes in the Bible, how do christians justify the fact that they eat pork? do they just say that that part of the bible doesnt apply to todays standards or what?
