A guy I met in the Navy said some lady in Norfolk used to read him passages from this thing, he said it was some kind of pagan holy book or something, and told me I might like to read it. I've asked around, but nobody seems to know anything about it. Well, I was reading one of those "Vampire" books, and they mentioned it there too... but I don't know if it's real or not, or if it is real, I don't know how to find it anyway.

Ummm.... noooooo...

The Book of Nod is part of a role playing game system from White Wolf Games called Vampire: The Masquerade. It's about Caine, the first Vampire (yes, the biblical Caine. The first murderer) and how he became a Vampire. It also tells what he decreed as the rules for all Vampires from the point he was created.

It's like Dungeons and Dragons but with Vampires. Geez, some people are freaks, especially if they believe that. It's just fiction.

Your navy buddy was screwing with you.

someone gave me a poem once about this .. not sure if it relates

softly along the road of the evening
in the twilight dim with rose
wrinkled with age and drenched with dew
old Ned the Shepard goes

his drowsy flock steams on before him
their fleeces charged with gold
to where the suns last beam leans low
on Nod the Shepperd's fold

his lambs outnumber a noons roses
yet when nights shadows falls
his blindly sheepdog slumber soon
misses not one at all

his are the quiet steeps of dreamland
the waters of no more pain
his rams bell sings neath an arch of stars
rest rest and rest again

( i think it is lovely , thought i would share it with you )
