This would remind many Christians no to be so hateful and anti-Semetic. I used to be a Chrisitian. I would say about half of them dislike Jews.

When a non-believer does non-selfish good deed, no expectation of heavenly reward exists. When a believer does a good deed It would ultimately be for the purpose of Heavenly rewards?

Ulterior motive?

do you actually read the bible and understand deeply what they are talking about? cause when you study it, it says in the bible, jesus said that mohammmad is the last messenger of god. and we are to follow his teachings.

the religion islam is what all the prophets has been practicing. and it has been misunderstood, hence the religion has been split into so many other religion which eventually (the teachings) went astray. what is in the quran is very precise compare to the bible.

what do u think?

jesus did say that there will be the last messenger of god. if you still deny it then i guess you didnt really read and understand the bible. not to mention a few priest i know convert to islam after reading the quran. a PRIEST! not an ordinary person. why is that? From what I have studied, what is in the bible is also in the quran.

(or more accurately his self-appointed representavives on earth are)
This is based on being dragged up (as opposed to brought up) in a largely christian society, but may apply to others).
The church holds us to ransom - fact. Everyone loves "that christmassy feeling" and spending lots of credit-card money on toys/booze/food/whatever.
All little girls want the big white wedding one day (but you'd better be a god-fearing subscribing member to get it in a "real" church).
The list goes on. Even Tony Blair, when backed up against a wall on the issue of "so where *exactly* are these Iraqi WMD's that we sent people to look for and die in the process?" His answer? "God will be my judge", the perfect "get out of jail free" card.

WARNING: at midnight of the Winter Solstice I shall been buring wax effigies of any **** who cuts&pastes whole swathes of any religious book in response to this - your names will be attached to the cute little dolls)

I would like to know detail on HOW God's word makes sence above all else. Besides the fact that its "divine command" why is it better than logical ethics? I can think of many reasons on why I would rather listen to MY heart and not "god's". PROVE ME WRONG! NO circular reasoning please...ex: "Its God's will."

Do Christians consider the point of the Atheist as valid?

What is it that makes your religion, or lack thereof, indisputably the Truth? How do you absolutely know the "other side" is wrong?

As an Agnostic, I'd prefer answers other than "Logic" or "Faith." Not that these aren't real answers, but I'm looking for anything more persuasive.

Isaiah 52vs13-53:12 "He will be exaulted. First he will be marred more than any man. (did you see the Passion of Christ/means Messiah Moshiach-in greek Cristos)

Isaiah 53 goes on to show how he is marred "All we like sheep have gone astray (Prophet Isaiah statest this 700bce long before our temple was destroyed leaving us with either no blood sacrifice commanded by Moses Leviticus 17vs11 "The life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to make atonement for your souls) or else the Messiah would come already before the temple was destroyed-keeping Moses from giving us an impossible command to keep.
Isaiah goes on-"He will be despised and rejected , and lay down his life to make atonement for our sins. He will die with the wicked and be burried with the rich. He will see his seed and prosper. So after his death he sees His seed making him as predicted God almighty Isaiah 9:6 and the seed being spiritual.
Is this Messiah only for my Jewish people or is he for everyone?

1) We do not pray TO the saints, Mary, or priests. We pray WITH them in the same way you ask your friends to pray with you or for you.

2) There is no other Christian religion that has not been altered since the beginning of Christianity. All organized Christian religions are a break off of the Catholic church.

3) Oh yes, and about the whole priest molestation...there are more non-clergy related molestations in one month than there are clergy related over the course of 3 years. Priests aren't the only people who molest children. There are corrupt clergy men and women all throughout organized religions that molest children, yes, that means Protestant ministers.

4) Yes, we read the Bible.

I'm not trying to say that Catholics are better than any other religion, I'm just standing up for what I know as truth.

why did Christianity see Paganism so worthy as to Christianize many of our holidays, practices etc? I realize it was to make it easier for the Pagans to convert but if it is so wrong wouldn't the Christians have tried to eliminate Paganism all together?

If Pagans are flawed, does that not mean Christians are too based on the history of Christianity?
