Sounds like an analytical mind is at work. That kind of thinking has its place but you aren't trying to measure faith are you?

The question brings to mind a story about a prophet who was to choose a king. The most outstanding feature in the prophet's opinion was that the "favorite" stood a head taller than the average (read, a measurable trait).

In the end God made it known that his opinion of a potential king was based more on attitudes than on outward looks.
