actually, never in any writing does it ever talk about Jesus saying that there has to be a bible. It really makes you think...

Jesus died not knowing the Bible was going to be written.
Jesus may have written things, but they were lost or destroyed.
There is no way to know if he mentioned a desire for others to write down what he said.

No he didn't write any thing , actually he lacked education , he was a good orator to the people that would listen , but he was a carpenter like his father Joseph ... it is doubtful he knew those days how to write or read , there is no record of it ( o yes in the Bible for sure ) every thing that finished in the Bible was hear-say from generation to generation till the Bible was written four centuries later , imagine how much of the story has changed till then .

Yes! very much so. Jesus read the bible, didn't he? If we love God, we have to imitate Jesus. How about checking out the guarantee given by God for success? Visist Psalm 1, verse 1 through 3. Pay special attention to verse 2:-
"1. Happy is the man that has not walked in the counsel of the wicked ones,
And in the way of sinners has not stood,
And in the seat of ridiculers has not sat.
2 But his delight is in the law of Jehovah,
And in his law he reads in an undertone day and night.
3 And he will certainly become like a tree planted by streams of water,
That gives its own fruit in its season
And the foliage of which does not wither,
And everything he does will succeed

yes, i believe that jesus wants us to read the bible because the bible gives us just a tiny glimpse into the character of God. and yes, Jesus himself quoted the Old Testament in his teachings.
in terms of the writing, God CHOSE to use godly men, who were inspired by the Holy Spirit, as instruments to write the bible. I don't think Jesus explicitly said, "write this down and put it in a book called the bible" but ultimately, the Holy Spirit guided these men to write parts of the bible.

Now remember it was constantine and his assembly that assembled the books of The Bible as it has so become.
JESUS CHRIST preached his word, and those who were smart would listen. and would tell others.
Whether Constantines arrangement is or is not the best method of assembling the story's thats irrelevant when you hear the words that have been past on.
They make sense, they are just, true.
The words are the formula of what a harmonious world we could become.
Treat others as you want them to be treated.
those powerful words in themselves transcend any law,
proclamation, declaration of independence or Bill of rights.
So simple its genius. so listen if you have ears.
And most important Love your GOD with all your heart mind and soul. not just GOD, but the GOD of Abraham Isaac Jacob and JESUS CHRIST.
In stating that you eliminate the vague defintions of a supreme being out there and isolate that into a history you can research.
Theres tombs of Abraham and King David that are held sacred to this day. And in that i know that the GOD who sent them is as true as they were.
People can question the Bible, but I say theres more evidence that proves The Bible to be true then there is to prove it false.
My 2 cents
sorry if I swayed off the topic alittle

Jesus was Jewish and he lived by what is known to Christians as the Old Testament. The New Testament of the Bible wasn't written for decades after Jesus' crucifixion.

Jesus came to do the Will of his Father, Yahweh God--he quoted from the Holy Scriptures on many occasions and said that he came to fulfill that which was written by the prophets--the Word of God--at that time the New Testament was not written but after he died and rose to heaven, all that Jesus taught was recalled and given to the writers by God's Holy Spirit, the "Helper".
Yes, he wants us to read and learn about God's Way for This is our only Way to learn of salvation and for humans to enter into the Real life which is to come.

If the Bible is our moral guide, then how can it make pornographic statements such as: “...they may eat their own dung and drink their own piss with you” (2 Kings 18:27)? Also consult Numbers 31 where a whole tribe of people, including the elderly and children are slaughtered. The only survivors were the virginal women, who were later raped by the “just and perfect” Moses and his men. Is that what you want your children reading on Sunday?
George Barnard Shaw says don't let your children read the bible
sorry ...not me...

The beginning of the Bible was written before Jesus was born. He often quoted scripture and was constantly fulfilling prophesy. The Bible is the word of God and was written by God speaking to the person he wanted to write what needed to be written. The Bible is sort of a guideline we must try as hard as possible to follow so yes he wants us to read it, thats for sure. Read the Bible for yourself, God will reveal what you need to see.
