Name one material thing and one non-material thing.

For those of you who are not familiar with the term "material" being used in this context (and there are a few out there, so don't jump down my **** about posting this part), it means something you own, like an iPod or a book or a llama or cd, etc, something that can be held or touched and something non-material would be something like "world peace" or "harsher punishments for parole violators" or something you can't hold or touch, but the effects can still be felt everywhere by everyone.

For a material thing I would most want a collection of the dragon DVDs I've found on the internet (since it's really hard to find good dragon movies!).

For a non material item I think mostly I would want to be accepted for who I am and find where I fit in, since I haven't had a steady place to live in or steady friends for nearly 10 years.

Wishing you the best these holidays! May you all find some comforts of both flesh and spirit.

For Yule I would like:

-a make-your-own-Tarot-deck (72 blank cards I can print my own image designs on)

-a guarantee that my sweetie's getting back into the Marines

And I wasn't sure whether to classify this as material or non-material, but I'd also like 15 less pounds... :)

Material thing -- an engagement ring. Money was too tight for diamonds when my beloved and I wed, but I would love a small bit of shine on my finger now that we are a tad more comfy.

Non-material thing -- no child going to bed hungry or cold.

To win the lottery, so that I can buy things for all my friends, family and others, to help the homeless and underprivileged children.

In the real world, I would like a new pair of binoculars and harsher punishments for illegal immigrants.

Material: A new computer with video editing capabilities and huge amounts of memory. I know I probably won't get it, though. :(

Non-material: As cliche as it is, world peace and an end to hunger. *does Miss America wave*

Material thing: a better job (to have better material things)

Non-material thing: internal peace for us all. Internal peace will bring interpersonal peace. And interpersonal peace might bring peace in the world.
