Buddhists don't believe that life is suffering, thats a common misunderstanding.. If one studies the texts, they will find that it says things like attachment, anger, and Indulgence in life cause suffering... Buddhists know that "Buddha" will save them from suffering, but not the actual human being, but what he represents...
As many of you know, the physical form of the Buddha represents the highest spiritual mastery in which one can relate to his or her mind.. In this sense Buddha potential is what can save you... But the only one that can save you from suffering in life is yourself, by analyzing why you suffer, what suffers, and what course of action will be best to ease suffering..
I know that compassion and wisdom are the main focal point when learning about Buddhist practices... Its like this, Jesus doesn't save people, his example saves people... Its when we start to follow these examples (adjusted to our situation and surroundings) that we begin to be saved... pretty much though, Losing selfishness will lose your expectations and problems, and give you freedom of mind and body, thus losing suffering which will ultimately save you... hope this helps.. cheers!

Buddhists believe that all life is suffering, so why would Buddha save them from suffering? Buddha isn't a savior figure, and your question doesn't make sense in the context of Buddhism.

No!!!!!! Buddha is a statue with a fat tummy - an inanimate object made of plastic and painted gold. he is made up. He won't save you from anything - a manmade idol. Will rice pudding save you from suffering on earth? c'mon...

He couldn't save himself from dying, how can he save you from anything.
Secondly I dont mean to disrepect Buddha, but all I say to you is that GOD is only one, there is nothing like him, He does not sleep, He doesnot die, and He does not need to come down to earth in a human form.
If i make a CD player, do i have to become a CD player to understand what is bad for that CD player. NO, i print an instrutction manual. That manual tells you how to operate the player. Similarly, God sent down books from time to time and messangers, the final BOOK which is uncorupted is the Quran. Which instruts all mankind to follow and belive in ONE GOD, who is all powerfull, and not a human.

No because the belief is being as much as you can mentaly for what is to come. There is no saving or loss so in a sense buddhism in a whole could save so to speak.

Buddhism is the way of saving your life by yourself. he already declared clearly that "nobody, even me could not save you and send you to heaven". only good-doing of yourself will make you get there. Suffering on Earth is your nature of living.
