What is your take on "Jacob's Ladder" that Jacob saw in a dream at Bethel where "Heaven's Gate" opened and a ladder descended to the Earth, and angels were seen descending and ascending the ladder? (Please, no weird UFO or alien answers.)
Personally, I suspect that this has to do with a yet future event that will be fulfilled in which Heaven's Gate will open, and the ladder is symbolic of a Supernatural Vibratory Frequency (the Trumpet) released upon a body of people symbolized by the five virgins (sheep) who will be prepared to meet their Groom with their full lamps. It will "transform" and “empower” those prepared in "a twinkling of an eye" fulfilling the symbolism behind Christ’s Transfiguration. It will happen as a “Thief in the Night” and suddenly the Door (Gate) will close, resulting in the five unprepared virgins (goats) not receiving the power to survive the Tribulation and thus they will become the Martyred Saints, while the Transfigured Ones shall be those who will not know death, the Immaculate Bride of Christ. Any thoughts on this?

The plan of salvation was opened to Jacob's mind in this dream. Christ was the ladder that he saw. Christ is the link that binds earth to heaven, and connects finite man with the infinite God. This ladder reaches from the lowest degradation of earth and humanity to the highest heavens. We are to ascend the ladder that Jacob saw, but not by our own strength alone. It is the goodness of God that leads to repentance and reformation. We are not left to struggle on alone

Mysteries of the Bible did an entire feature on Jacob yesterday. The Jewish scholars had a different take on how the ladder is interpreted than any I have seen/heard before. They basically state the upward direction of the angels on the ladder make sense, but the downward direction has no true explanation. They believe God spends His time creating ladders and the ladder was a symbol of your life. All this reminded me of someone who spends their life working their way up a ladder only to find it propped against the wrong wall . . . or in other words, needing to know what you are working towards. Anyway, it is seen as an ongoing process and not a future event.

Hunh? No "weird" answers, but then you scramble Genesis, Revelation and Matthew together to produce some wild mish-mash? Sorry, your interpretation is just another meaningless layer of mysterious symbols. What do the filled lamps mean? Why would this "door" open and close so sneakily? Why would we consider the unprepared virgins "saints at all? What exactly does God accomplish through all this kabuki nonsense? You need to spend less time trying to see connections between unrelated collections of symbols and more time on the personal meaning of being "prepared" for you.
All the ladder means is that Jacob had access to God.

Well, on an elementary level, and because I just listened to a song about it on a Scripture Scouts CD for the Old Testament for children, it may just mean that everyone can have their own Jacob's ladder if they want to pray and open up that line of direct communication with heaven. Jacob's was more detailed, perhaps because he was more spiritually mature or was in the process of becoming more spiritually mature, and symbolism is important in teaching spiritual truths as well.

ought to or not that's something so effortless as a fashion for Jacob to be shown that God saved curious about human affairs and hence Jacobs. A tutor of help, possibly? undergo in concepts what the peace of mind to Jacob replaced into properly after pointing out the ladder. hence it appeared to emphasise God's higher position and his administration over issues, hence assuring Jacob that what were promised ought to happen.

Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
The verses following reveal the purpose of the dream.
God wants to be directly involved in our lives on earth. Jacob reealized upon waking that "God was in this place", and that Motivated Jacob to vow that he would serve God is God kept him, and provided food and clothing along the way of his journey. From that point on, Jacob's life was changed and blessed beyond His woldest dreams.

The simplest explanation is that Israel would discover the means of salvation (the way to heaven) for all mankind, in the person of Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
Jesus comes DOWN, man eventually goes UP, using the way God has provided, but only after a collossal struggle.
