Eleventy gozillion. I was saying no at the rate of 62 times per second. I didn't eat or drink anything for years. Also, no bathing (phew!) Then, all of a sudden, Jesus busted through my bedroom window and said, "dude! You've gotta eat something! You're skinnier than me!"

So that was it. I was saved. Also, he performed a minor miracle and turned my pet iguana into a turkey sandwich. Afterward, I popped a 6 foot ***** and knocked him across the room. He banged his head on my Star Wars ep. 1 collectors plate and never got up. I guess I killed Jesus (for the second time.)

The moral of the story is, ask a jackasanine question, and get a long, drawn-out jack asanine answer.

(I hope a few people get to read this an laugh before it gets reported.)

I never really said no to Jesus. Like a lot of people, I was brought up in a post-modern church. I thought that Jesus was like my spiritual big-brother, and believing in him was enough. Then I heard The Way of the Master on my Sirius radio (seriously). No one had ever explained to me why I needed a savior by using God's Law. Imagine how surprised I was to hear that I wasn't the good person that I always thought I was. Even more awful; I realized that God didn't think I was very lovable at all! Broken and bent, I fell to my knees and begged God to forgive me. I didn't just believe in Jesus, I put my faith in Jesus. I can feel the work God has started in me through the Holy Spirit. Praise God that I didn't die in my sins; I would have been one of those people that Jesus talked about in Matthew 7:23,
"And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

It kills me every time I think of that verse because it could have been me. To answer your question I never said no; I just kept saying yes to the wrong God.

Well Jesus has never personally asked me, but if he ever does show back up, I'll invite him over for wine and crackers. If you ever do see him, tell him there's a whole lot of people looking for him that have had to do his work while he's been gone. Hey... I'm all for taking a break every so often, but isn't 2000 years kind of a long time? Most people would lose their job after a few hundred years or so... but you gotta love the guy, go figure?

Here's the thing, even those who think they've been saved by becoming christian, they still have Greed, Anger, and Ignorance, the "3 poisons"... if you transform these into generosity, compassion, and wisdom, then you save yourself... within the 3 poisons there is desire, attachment, expectation and indulgence, the main factors which cause suffering of body and mind... I myself went to Catholic school for 9 years, but I realized that the only way to be saved is to understand who you are, what needs to be saved, and why.. Don't wait for heaven you think is there to be happy.. If you can't be happy on earth, how could you ever be happy in a heaven??? Compassion will save you from many problems... Check up

The first time I heard the Gospel, and understood, I said Yes. Now you must understand, the Gospel was preached in my presence many times. I heard the words, but it did not sink in. I don't know why. Many people here the word and do not believe. When the Holy Spirit convicts your soul, you know it, you here it, and you have to accept it. The line is drawn in the sand. If you reject him you just may miss your opportunity. The Spirit may never convict you again.

Actually I never really said no to Jesus I have loved Him since I knew of Him, I just didn't know how to turn myself over to him completely and let him have my whole life in his hands...
I finally figured it out after reading The Left Behind series...
The books opened my eyes to the truth....
I got on my knees in my living room and I talked to God and told him I was sorry for every thing I did against Him and told Him I wanted him to come into my heart and take over my life...
Before that day I had suffered from depression since child hood...
He took his hand and put it over my heart and would not let the depression take it over ever again!

Well Frankly Frank, I didn't truly know about Jesus, and I didn't fully understand about his purpose. I didn't' get the knowledge or understanding until I was 23 years old and that was the first time and I believed and received him right then and there.

Because I was desperately searching for God and I needed to know about him and I truly knew that my life was lost and hopeless without him being in it and apart of it.

So for me 1 time was all it took.

In 1990, I came to Jesus for the first time, then backslid. In 1995, I came to Jesus a second time and backslid. Then this past May, I came to Him for the THIRD time, and this is where I plan to stay.
Once you come to Jesus, try to stay as close to Him as possible through prayer and obedience. Don't forget to read the Bible daily as well.

Since I was a baby I believed in God. My earliest memories is kneeling next to my grandmother at night to pray out loud to God.
She was baptist. I was raised catholic but didn't learn anything.
But the day Jehovah's Witnesses came to my door I was hooked on the truth. I was finally at 22 learning about the bible. I at last learned Gods name and his purpose for the earth...I have beenhappy that I let them in every day of my life since.
But the apostle Paul said ..Those that endure to the end are the ones who will be saved.
We all have to wait while we tell others of Gods glory

I was convicted immediately. The first time I heard the plan of Salvation, I prayed at home in private for Jesus to save me from hell.
