wouldnt it be more improtant to be a good person, helping other always and bienging a decent person. shoudl it not matter which god u believe in wheather ur christian or muslim, or jew or even an athiest. shouldnt it more improtant wheather ur a good person rather than what you believe in. i mean u could read the qu'ran (sp) or the bible as much times as u want, but how will it make u a better person. or ull be is that person who just reads the holy book and doese nothing else. so why dont people instead of trying to convert people let them find thier own path, and try to help them be a better person.

And they cannot PROVE their position any more than people
of faith can?
And don't they PUSH thier belief, and try to CONVERT others
to their way of thinking?
And are just as Prideful, Self-righteous, and Hypocritcal as the
people they condemn?
Where do YOU people get off thinking you are SUPERIOR?
You have the same self-centered and petty nature as all human
beings. The only difference with real spiritual people, is that we
own up to it, while most humans blame everyone else for it!

What is meditating for? How long should people do meditating in day? How should I start to do that if I want to try? Your experiences? Did you get some special abilities since you started to meditate?

I've been seeing these comments over and over again on these boards. Why NOT question god? Why NOT understand what god is trying to say and what he isn't trying to say? Why NOT be critical and find out if the so called religion is pure or not? Doesn't the bible itself tell us to question?...

"Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."

Is saying "how dare you question god?" the way you were taught? Would you teach your children to stop using their brains in this way?

I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but you have to be brain dead and immoral not to question your religion, god, or even use that comment.

(Answer any or all the questions above. Commentaries are welcomed)

Jesus is the Sun of God?
Christ. The sun is bThe history of the sun, is the history of Jesus orn on the 25th of December, the birthday of Jesus Christ
. The first and greatest of the labors of Jesus Christ is his victory over the serpent, the evil principle, or the devil. In his first labor Hercules strangled the serpent, as did Krishna, Bacchus, etc. his is the sun triumphing over the powers of hell & darkness; &, as he increases, he prevails, till he is crucified in the heavens, or is decussated in the form of a cross (according to Justin Martyr) when he passes the equator at the vernal equinox. (ibid, p. 200)
In reading the New Testament we must cease to think of the man Jesus, & even of the “Son of God”, & think of him
rather of the sun of god, for this is a solar myth, & its dying hero, a dying sun. (Lloyd Graham, Deceptions and Myths
of the Bible, p. 361)
“The divine teacher is called, is tested by the “adversary”, gathers disciples, heals the sick, preaches the Good News
about God’s kingdom, finally runs afoul of his bitter enemies, suffers, dies, & is resurrected after 3 days. This is the
total pattern of the sun god in all the ancient dramas”. (The Pagan Christ, p. 145)

When the Council of Nicea took place, the Emperor Constantine
- Declared the Roman Sun-day to be the Christian Sabbath
- Adopted the traditional birthday of the Sun-god, & the twenty-fifth of December, as the birthday of Jesus;
- Borrowed the emblem of the Sun-god, the cross of light, to be the emblem of Christianity;
- And, although the statue of Jesus replaced the idol of the Sun-god, decided to incorporate all the ceremonies which were performed at the Sub-gods birthday celebrations into their own ceremonies.

Did you know the Emerald Tablet dates back a lot longer than the Bible and the Qur'an and was buried to protect it from religious zealots who were burning libaries around the world at the time around 400AD, the Emerald Tablet obviously had inscriptions that the fanatics did not wish to be released to future generations.. what do you think of this?

I have read that the Qur'an has some passages that even Muslim scholars find difficult to parse and have written reams of Quranic commentary trying to attempt to explain these passages. So does that say some of what is in the Qur'an is assumption?
I am sure that this is no different with some Biblical references as well.

Dont get me wrong.. I am not saying all religious references are wrong, there is most likely some truth to part of them, but it is most definate that over time man has had a hand at changing writings that were not meant to be changed.

That must be frightening if it's possible. Imagine walking down a dark street and knowing someone was going to jump out of the shadows and stab you in the eye with an icepick? That's a gift I don't want. I'd rather be a good bowler.

I am completely serious. I think he is a perfect example of a man who has tried very hard to become something different than what he is but it hasn't worked. Not in 50 years. He married, fathered several children and lead an enormous Christian organization but is obviously still a gay man. Does this mean he is a bad person? I don't think so. I just think it is apparent that he is unable to change who he is and likely so are all the other gay men and women out there. Christ gave us a new commandment, to love one another. We're a lot smarter today than we've ever been. We know more about the universe and DNA than Christ's diciples could have ever imagined. Maybe it's time we use our God given intelligence to be more understanding and accepting of our gay brothers and sisters and stop trying to force them into relationships that can't possibly work?
