Dont you, or cant you agree, alot of Christians that say "Youre not a real christian, your not a real Christian cuz this that", can be akined to the scribes and pharisees, while each has their own personal sin

Many people forget that, but it is a fact that by todays standards, Jesus would in fact, be considered a liberal. So He would obviously be for gay rights, how do you think he would treat gay poeple today if he came back? He wouldn't be in an anti-gay parade, he wouldn't send teenagers to refuges against their will, and he wouldn't be on tv saying "Gays are what bring America to it's knees" Because I'm pretty damn sure the world will end because of our hatred, no gayt love. And you people that say "I don't hate gay people, I'm friends with gay people. I just don't think they should get married or have sex" how much sense does that make? What if someone said that to a black person when they where being discriminated against "I know you guys didn't choose to be black, I like black people, I just don't think they should have the same rights" more and more kids are becoming tolerent of gay people, its a new era, and when we can vote, gay people will finally have their rights. You don't win.

Where does it say in the bible that fornication (consensual sexual intercourse between a man and esp. single woman who are not married to each other) is a sin?

every time i ask a question about my religion, i have at least one person that tells me i will go to hell because i am worshiping the "prophets" of my religion. They dont even take the time out to read about my religion and find out what it is teaching people.
my prophets are:

Abraham
Zoroaster
Jesus
Muhamed
Krishna
Buddha
Bahá'u'llah
and Moses.

my religion goes by the teachings of all of these prophets, they teach there is ONE God and he alone is to be worshiped.

allot of people think that Hinduism and Buddhism are Polytheistic BUT there not they teach that there is ONE God. if you dont believe me check it out for yourself :-|

I AM MONOTHEISTIC!!

now that i have that out of my system, i feel alot better :)

Why do humans get sick so easily? Why do our bones break when we fall? Why do we need glasses? Why all the aches and pains? Why do our teeth rot and break without proper care?

God was all powerful, so why all the design flaws?

What exactly is it and what do they believe? Do they believe in God (or in a god I should say, or higher being)? What makes someone's life change because they were in scientology? And why are there so few churches around? Is it even really a church?

I hear all this talk about the church of scientology, but no one ever says anything! It seems like kind of an empty or selfish religion to me (of course, I know very little about it), but I'm just curious what exactly they believe.

Suppose you are placed in the following hypothetical situation: You are kidnapped by some evil mastermind named Mr. X. Mr. X injects you with a poison that kills you in 1 hour. Nothing can stop you from dying.

Mr. X introduces you to Louie. Louie trusts you and would follow any advice you give him. Mr. X explains that you are to tell Louie not to follow your religion. It doesn't matter what options are open to Louie; you are to tell him that your religion is false and that Louie must never pursue that faith.

If you do that, Mr. X frees Louie to continue life as usual, except that he is convinced your religion is false and will never convert to your religion. If you allow Louie one shred of belief in your religion, then Mr. X tortures Louie for 45 minutes before killing him in front of your eyes. I know it's crazy rhetoric, but try to treat this as serious. Would you dissuade Louie from following your religion?

Please state your religion along with your answer.

I am kind of confused on this. Why do Christains quote a lot from the OT but then not do a lot of other things from it. For example it says not to eat pigs, but we do, it says not to work on Sundays, but we do. I know when Jesus came to earth He changed the covenant we have with God, but how do you know what to follow and what not to in the OT?

Quran 33:18 YUSUFALI: Verily Allah knows those among you who keep back (men) and those who say to their brethren, "Come along to us", but come not to the fight except for just a little while. http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/033.qmt.html

Isnt this just incredible. I mean...jaw dropping unbelieveable. I swear, with every once of my fiber, it astounds me that any human on earth could mistake this for the voice of God. Just unreal.

Ahh yes, General Allah knows who is slacking!!!! So good Muslim sheep, dont you dare let up in the bloody thirsty murder of non-muslims...not even for a "while".

Okay. It's your first day in that place commonly referred to as "Heaven". For once you have the luxury of time.

What will be the first thing you do?

Ok, I understand that the website I am presenting is a bit fundemental but when this guy comes down to scripture, I had to hand it to him, he uses that Bible quite well.

Just look at it first and tell me what you think. But most importantly, please explain what is the best way to approach a feminist with this topic.

My Contemporary Fiction teacher is a big time feminist. Saying out loud with confidence that the Bible is a fiction story telling book and that Women are the key to human existance. She even went as far as to say that the only reason we are still here is because of women. (I laughed inside because the statement was so... How do I say in a nice way, idiotic)

She's convinced most of the girls in the class that women are better than men or at least equal (When it physicaly isn't)

Anyway's, please explain your views. Thanks.

I was born and raised a strict cathlic, going to church every sunday, knowing all the prayers, being extremely involved in the youth group and all that. Then I became a teenager and began to wonder and doubt everything I was taught. I mean, if men wrote the bible and obviously tampered with it (example: woman should be at their husbands cammand and woman are tempation and evil) then how do we know what to beilive?? Plus who invented God? and no one has ever come back from the dead to tell us what there is in the afterlife so how do we really know? People were ignorant when the bible was written so how do we know that Jesus was just a man pertending to be the mesaihah? And what if there is NOTHING after death, if we just no longer exist? that thought terrifies me!!! Any thoughts?
