Many people forget that, but it is a fact that by todays standards, Jesus would in fact, be considered a liberal. So He would obviously be for gay rights, how do you think he would treat gay poeple today if he came back? He wouldn't be in an anti-gay parade, he wouldn't send teenagers to refuges against their will, and he wouldn't be on tv saying "Gays are what bring America to it's knees" Because I'm pretty damn sure the world will end because of our hatred, no gayt love. And you people that say "I don't hate gay people, I'm friends with gay people. I just don't think they should get married or have sex" how much sense does that make? What if someone said that to a black person when they where being discriminated against "I know you guys didn't choose to be black, I like black people, I just don't think they should have the same rights" more and more kids are becoming tolerent of gay people, its a new era, and when we can vote, gay people will finally have their rights. You don't win.

Jesus never condoned sex outside of marriage and is believed to have been celibate for his entire unmarried life. I think he would be closer to the viewpoint of the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.

The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."

With love in Christ.

Jesus was one of a kind and its difficult to pin him down in any particular movement. He was kind of a walking contradiction, he did what God told him was right and well...he was always right. I agee that Jesus wouldn't be in an anti gay parade and he would never treat anyone like grabage because of who they were. People need to learn that. A good book I recenly read talked a little about what you mentioned here. It's called "What Jesus Meant" by Gary Wills and looks at Jesus though a modern even liberal perspective. Good stuff. Reall good stuff.

obviously you have not read the Bible- Jesus would not be in a gay hate parade but he certainly would not be fighting for gay rights either- what part of "Go and sin no more" did oyu not understand. He would most certainly love the sinner but not tolerate the sin- homosexuality is against God's law, it is contradictory to the disign and plan God has for man and Jesus, though merciful was also full of justice and truth. Not one jot or tittle of God's laws and instruction has been removed or nullified, Jesus walked perfect law tempered with mercy.
He would have shown homosexuals the wayo ut of bondage from their sins and given them the strength and support to take it and had they not received truth and instruction there would have been rebuke. Period!

The only reason so many kids think it's alright to be gay is they are fed that garbage in school. If somebody was to go into a school and tell the truth, that it is unnatural they would be thrown out and arrested. Kids today are being taught so many lies as facts that it is no wonder this world is so screwed up.

Ok yes Jesus was radical for his time period, but that doesn't mean that he automatically would go for every liberal movement. He is against divorce, and that's a pretty conservative stance. He believes in being 100% committed to God, and not all liberals are these days either.

don't get me wrong - I'm not saying God's not ok with gays. I just don't think your logic lines up perfectly.

Good luck.

Yes he was. Today, they would crucify him. Wait a minute, I think they already did that.
