Some could argue Buddhism is a philosophy not ever meant for
religion but that blows the question .....My model "T" is old too but not road worthy!

Buddhism is not one of the oldest religions. Buddhism started at 563 B.C.E. However the Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama) followed Hinduism, which is one of the oldest religions that is still around today. So it is actually Judaism and Hinduism that are the two oldest religions that are still active. And to answer your question, yes I think it is perfectly logical to think that one of the two must be the "true" religion based on their age. Personally I think Judaism is the true religion just because their history shows them as God's chosen people (when no other religion that old believes that), where as Hinduism (and Buddhism) believes there is a divine reality (a.k.a. "God"), but don’t quite know who or what he is. Also I find it amazing that any type of Hindu of Buddhist philosophical thoughts can also be found in Judaism if one plunges him/herself into studying Torah. Finding a religion with truth in it is simple. It’s finding a religion with complete truth that is difficult.

Buddhism was a reform movement within Hinduism just like Christianity was a reform movement within Judaism. Buddhism did away with the caste system and did away with God and the many manifest gods and goddesses of Hinduism

Most historians consider Hinduism as the oldest religion still in practice, although of course there were societies who have died out whose religions went with them.
If oldest means "true" in this circumstance, then the "true" religion would be the animism of ancient man.

it just means that maybe people originated near india. Oldest religions = oldest people. They could be true, or they could be the ways that those people looked at life and interpreted it.

Buddhism isn't that old, I do believe the Buddha lived near 500ce. or maybe it was 500bce. which reminds me that I have to study my world history...
as for them being the true religions, I see no correlation. "Oldest religion" just means "earliest attempt of primitive man to understand his universe" and in fact, because technology was not nearly as advanced, I doubt its true.

Not likely. Look at the theology. That would be like me asking couldn't red be blue since they are the same age. Red is red, and blue is blue. Only one can be true, because of the vast differences. Either God is one God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, or God isn't.
No middle ground.

Who came before Christ? As it is written, "He was with God in the beginning..." and "through Him all things were made..."
