Did you know the Emerald Tablet dates back a lot longer than the Bible and the Qur'an and was buried to protect it from religious zealots who were burning libaries around the world at the time around 400AD, the Emerald Tablet obviously had inscriptions that the fanatics did not wish to be released to future generations.. what do you think of this?

I have read that the Qur'an has some passages that even Muslim scholars find difficult to parse and have written reams of Quranic commentary trying to attempt to explain these passages. So does that say some of what is in the Qur'an is assumption?
I am sure that this is no different with some Biblical references as well.

Dont get me wrong.. I am not saying all religious references are wrong, there is most likely some truth to part of them, but it is most definate that over time man has had a hand at changing writings that were not meant to be changed.

Indeed, many writings were hidden to keep invading civilizations
from destroying them. Which was a common practice. Destroy
the ties to a nation so they can be better controlled.
Most Westerners have come to the realization the Bible is
not a perfect book. Just compare modern translations with
older ones, and we can see how meanings are watered down
to satisfy the fearful. Like EVERYTHING of a spiritual nature
comes from satan. HOGWASH!
I've read the Quran and often qoute some of the verses. But
I seriously doubt the angel Gabriel or Muhammad ever called
another human being a pig or a dog.

Simply put, it had to do with greed for power, supremacy and rule of the global Holy Roman empire. You're speaking of the time when the early and quite powerful RCC scoured the land and searched for all sacred writings in its effort to compile the Bible. Naturally, many such books--later to be tagged as Gnostic Books--had to be hidden from their malefactors.

In so doing, the church obliterated and annihilated entire communities of the Brotherhood of Essenes--the third largest faction of Jews [after the Pharisees and the Sadducees] from which the family of Yeshua/Jesus belonged-- and they began the systemic persecution of all the Jews so much so as to effect the Great Diaspora, when all the Jews were forced to hide and scatter throughout the world in order to survive. Quite obviously, the Essenes are NOT even mentioned in the Bible!

And the rest, as they say, is religious history that has been re-written by the victors...

Peace be with you.

People died for one purpose back in the day of the Prophet Muhammad...

they decided to fight disbelieving pagan tribes of arabia for one reason only.

That being to protect the authenticity of the Quran from those who would surely try to change it.

Do you know of any other faith period when people, outcasted by the majority of their society, decided to die in order to protect the authenticity of Gods words?

Edit: Your question does not have an answer...because youre questioning the hiding of certain texts in a time period of history that cannot be explained unless the people who actually did the hiding also made notes as to why it was.

There are many text that have been hidden over the years and plenty are still out there that haven't been recovered. Thousands of years ago anything that was out of the norm was considered heresy. People that still believed in their religion (such as Gnostic's) hid their text underground to avoid being prosecuted or having the text destroyed.

You are referring to a time of kings and slaves.
Semi-ignorant people like the most of us are today, didn't exist then.
Kings didn't trust with knowledge simple people. They thought they couldn't handle it. They spread basic survival knowledge in small doses. Like how to farm. These were the good ones.
And,
there were those thirsty for power tyrants that they enjoyed having slaves and thought manipulating sacred texts would help them in the game of power.
They had the help of the priests of course!..
