In some sense, yes. Sound doctrine is important. The Bible teaches that. Some denominations minimize the Bible and worship by running around and making animal noises.

You would be being a poor steward to be in a denomination in which you are not growing spiritually and in your knowledge of God and the Bible. Some are better than others, but this is complicated by the fact that nearly all think they are the best.

Commitment to the Bible that is the inspired word of God is the most important in choosing a denomination. I would say that the other important thing is fundamentals of interpretation. Do they use a grammatical-historical approach to the scriptures, meaning in a nutshell "What did it mean to the original authors, and how does it apply to me. The very words are inspired and important."

Abosolutely they do care very much. It was the followers of Jesus christ who were following the true religion in the first century, of that there can be no doubt.
These all belonged to one Christian organisationWhat about today? How can those practicing true religion be identified?
Explaining how we can do this Jesus said:"By their fruits you will recognise them.......Every good treeproduces fine fruit;....Really, then, by their fruitsyou will recognise those men."(Matthew7:16-20) What fine fruits would you expect true worshipers to produce? What should they be saying and doing now?
True worshipers would act in harmony with the Model prayer that Jesus gave his followers. The first thing Jesus therementioned was this:"Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified." What does it mean to sanctify, or hold holy, God's name? How did Jesus do it?
Jesus showed how he did it when he said in prayer to his Father:"I have made your name manifestto the men that you gave me out of the world."(John17:6)Yes Jesus made God's name Jehovah known to others. He did not fail to use that name. Jesus knewthat it was his Father's purpose for his name to be glorified in all the earth. So he set the example in proclaiming that name and holding it holy.(John12:28 ;Isaiah12:4,5) The Bible shows that the very existance of the true Christian ongregation is connected with God's name. The apostle Peter explained:that God "turned his attention to the nations to take out of them a people for his name."(Acts15:14) So God's true people must treat his name as holy and make it known throughout the earth. In fact, knowing that name is necessary for salvation, as the Biblesays"For every oneeveryone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved."(Romans10:13). Now, then, who today treats God's name as holy and makes it known over all the earth? The churches in general avoid the use of the name Jehovah, Some have even removed it from their traslations of the Bible. However, if you were to talk to your neigbors and often refer to Jehovah, using his name, with what organization do you think they would associate you? There is only one people that is really following Jesus example in this regard. Their main purpose in life is to serve God and bear witness to his name, just as Jesus did.

I do not think it matters at all. The only things that are required is belief in Jesus as the Messiah and your savior, and to live your life in a Christlike fashion.

No, I don't feel that they care, as long as you believe, and worship the only GOD. From my readings, I don't think that Jesus even cared for '' religion''. He was all about following him and worshiping his father.

Jesus is God and he only cares about what is in your heart. As your heart goes, so do you go. If your heart is evil, then you are evil. If your heart is good, then you are good. If Jesus is in your heart, then you are saved; else, you are damned because of unbelief.
