I can somewhat say that I understand how you feel or where you are coming from. But you know, we shouldn't be living only for the riches of this world. God is still looking over you, do not be fooled by the devil trying to make every problem seem like the end of your life as though you are all alone in the world and no one cares. He thrives at that. The Holy Spirit is there, right with you. Please talk to Him right now and ask Him to make His presence felt.
At times, I've have to do some silly things just to see if God was still listening to my prayers. Once I asked Him to send down a piece of plain white cloth from no where. Less than a minute later I saw a beautiful all white bird flying down to my bedroom window. That was so comforting, even though I was going through the toughest time in my life. I just knew that God was with me and loves me.
Remember this...
Heb 11:13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth.
I'll make you another example. My grandma prayed for over 35 years for my grandpa to be saved. Everyone thought she was crazy (including their children). But one morning, I saw him take all his expensive bottles of whiskey and pour them out on the drain. From then on, he never looked back. He loved the Lord till his death.
Jesus Loves You and I do too

I had a similar problem some years ago. In my search for God I read every holy tome I could get my hands on from the tenets of christianity and Judaism to the writings of the priests of the Norse pantheon. After several years of questioning and researching I came to Four simple conclusions.
1) Given the comparisons and parallels between faiths that grew over milennia often on different continents with no way to communicate there almost certainly is some higher power and/or powers
2) If my first point is true then it surely follows that, whilst it is possible that each and every religion has it's own deity (or deities) and that they are all separate it is far more likely that there are only a very small number (possibly just one) of these beings and the various religions just reveal different aspects of their existence
3) Given the existence of these higher beings I cannot accept that they could have any interest in the petty squabbles of humans about which knee you bend before their altar or whether you call them Jehovah or Yaweh or Mighty Bob for that matter, as long as your belief is sincere the form it takes is irrelevant
4) Given all of that all that you need to do is find a religion whos tenants you can sincerely believe in if christianity doesn't work for you then try the others until you find one that speaks to you and brings you the peace and comfort you're looking for
After all if you take away all the rhetoric and the misunderstandings and biggotry that have accumulated over the centuries all of the faiths say the same thing, be a good person and live your life without ruining other peoples lives; the basic message of faith is one of hope, love and healing the only thing that changes is how they say it

How do you know your prayers weren't answered? Maybe, He didn't answer them when you wanted Him to, or in the way that you thought He should, so you think they went unanswered?
I always ask to win the lottery and that hasn't happened yet, but that doesn't mean that the prayer goes unanswered. It just means that He's not answering it the way I want Him to. I want $200,000 to pay off the house and buy a new car, but I haven't gotten it yet. But, what I DO HAVE is the physical capability to work, make money and meet the bills every month, and I thank Him for that every day. I try not to complain about what I DON'T have, I also try to appreciate what I DO have. A nice house, both cars are paid off now, a loving hubby and the ability to pay the bills and keep what I have.
If you're really looking for God... look in the one place He'll always be. In your heart. He's always there, waiting for you to find him again.

In the Jews', Christians' and Muslims' books of God. God answers all prayers (provided you don't nag abou it) some he choose not to answer for your own good. Example if you want a Ferrari and God knows that if you have it you'll have an accident and die. then? Many times what we think is good for us actually is'nt? I lost a job once and I was very sad and thought that God didn't love me but a couple of month later I got a better job with triple my salary and a better position. Got it?

Hi there,
I think a lot of people have written mean answers to you.
I think it would be good for you to read a book like "Mere Christianity" by CS Lewis. If there is a nice church in your are maybe you could speak to someone there. But churches aren't always really supportive places, depends...
Going to church and praying doesn't make you a Christian...my RE teacher said she was a humanist but went to church "for the community". Also what did you pray? i used to pray for things that I didn't need or weren't good for me.
Oooh, another good tip is read Hosea, it isn't too long. The prophet in there says Israel has been led into the widerness so they'll forget all the things that distracted them from God before. If you are in a wilderness in life andd searcing for God...well maybe that's where he wants you to be. He wants to be found!
It also has a bit about God being tender and loving Israel (you) "as a mother lifts her infant to her cheek".

because the eyes of the lord are on the righteous and his ears are open to there request. But the face of the Lord are against those who do evil. God can't answer you if you're still serving evil. Leave everything behind. Sex, drugs, getting drunk, lieing, stealing, not helping others,. Anything that your flesh desire is against what your spirit desires. And your spirit is Gods. So you must resist the flesh and the temptaions of the devil so you may witness the wonderful power of God. Serve Him in the bad and the good times. If you are persistant and determined God has to answer you. It's his promise.Read the book of peter. God will talk to you through that.

You need to have a solid foundation of Christ in order to receive the Gifts that God has. You have to have FAITH. This means to believe and ask God like He's already given it to you. But on your end, you have to get to know how He operates. You can only find that in the Bible. When you become obedient to Him (do what he tells you or don't do what he tells you) Then, you'll be able to have that relationship with Him that you've been searching for. God Bless.

That's a start. If you can't forget about Him then keep praying, God does answer our prayers, sometimes it may not be what we want, but it will be what God wants for us. Try listening a little harder, pay attention to the things around you, God does speak to us in many different ways, it could be that your just missing it.

Your prayers were answered, but sometimes the answer is 'no' or 'not yet'. God won't give you something that will ultimately hurt you. It's a trust thing, we have to learn to wait on his timing and trust that he reallly does work all things for the good of those who love him, as his word promises. He can see the bigger picture when we can't, and it's not easy to let go but it can be done.
Why not go back to church.

God is in you, your spirit being a spark of the LIGHT God is.
And He is all around you.
Take a piece of paper and draw a dot on it. Sit back and focus
your eyes on the dot. Blink natural, don't strain. After some practice, you will see the light and Life that is in everything.
When we open ourselves up spiritually, we open ourselves up
to unwanted things as well.
Imagine a light all around you in your minds eye. Like you see
pictures in your mind. And ask out loud, using the power of the
Spoken word, for our Highest Power to guide and protect you.
