The pope and some high ranking clergymen wear a head covering while officiating a church function but other laymen are not so free to wear a head covering of their choice-why? There is a big divide between the liberal wing and the conservative wing in christendon as regards the woman wether she should cover or not- please without bias and with authoritative scriptural explanation may i know what is God's mind irrespective of primitive or civilised concept

I have no religion that I believe in, because I find all beliefs valid.
But what I have seen on this forum is many christians contradicting the words of Jesus. They call people evil, and filled with the devils touch if they do not believe the way they do. I see hateful suggestions, and comprimised judgement. from the christians replys. But from the atheists who have no god to believe in they seem to not judge, and offer you the right without ridicule to believe whatever makes you happy. So please Christians tell me that today will be the day you will love your fellow atheist, because he is a man, and you are too. Tell me from your heart not from some pasted scripture. Tell me, tell them, that you are not above, and hold some exclusive key to heaven. Dont preach or be condescending. Just tell your atheist brother, or the wiccan who lives next door to you that they too deserve heaven. And that in the end man, and god will create one with acceptance and love. I wish you well

There are multiple thousands of Christian denominations. There are many factions of Catholicism. There are Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, and literally hundreds of "religions". There are Athiests. My question is simple - If there is one God, and, depending on your religion, the text you base your religion on tells you specifically the manner in which worship is acceptable, and these definitions vary from religion to religion, who has it right? Does any religion on the planet have the correct manner of worship and conduct to please God?

Feel free to quote religious texts. In context, please.

And feel like we have to very carefull about wroking our beliefs into coversation?
Why is it so easy to not pray on a daily basis?

Christmas and Easter have both become so commercialized that the true meaning of both holy days has been lost in the Santa Clauses' and Easter Bunnies? I am not a religious person but out of resepct for Jesus I have taught my son to not be caught up in the gifts and candy but the reason for the holiday. I have honestly never heard the Christians take a stand on this.

If so, what do you think? Do you think there's any reason why these books were left out of the Bible as we know it?

i am being kindly respected to your faith. but it's impossible to worship three while my heart, my feelings and my common sense tells me your God is only one, worship Him alone.
so if it's three trinity inside one, then i have to worship father, then after that son, then holy ghost? and then claim its all one, while in fact i know it's not.

What does eating the body and blood of Christ mean to you?

I should state I am generally anti-cannibalism. I cannot understand how it would be spiritually beneficial. Enlighten me.

After all, it IS prophecy! And if it's prophecy, it's practically written in stone, isn't it? And not only that, but since God's in control, if He wills for something to happen, it will. So why do some Christians think that He needs their help?

Paul states that "on the way to the place of prayer we met a slave-girl possessed by the spirit of devination." Acts 16:16

Yet, the Christians now state that devination is impossible. That those claiming to have this talent are "witches or worse." I suppose this is because they never really study there own Books, but instead take the words of there leaders as "gospel." They also become paranoid and aggressive when confronted with true information like this.

Were There Ever any polls(official) conducted in the Western Countries about how many people believe in Evolution and Creation if so can you give me details.
Also in my opinion, this is just the beggining of the 21st centuary, the future holds a lot of possibility of new research and technologies. So after a few 100 years Christian Belief itself will get
destroyed.(do you agree with me?)
Also want to ask you does cloning(human) contradict their belief.

How do you show your atheist pride? Bumper stickers? T-shirts? Using the Atomic symbol (American Atheists) or the pansy (Freethought)?

u the christians and the muslims both believe that jesus has to come to the earth again but the muslim believe for that seems to be very authentic and better than the christian one as the christians believe that jesus was crucified or if even not then he died anyway but the muslims believe that Jesus was'nt crucified and was'nt even killed but infact he was taken up into the heaven physically b4 the jews couls kill him.
so is the muslim believe not better than the christian one bcause if a person has died and then comes to earth again in a new era it doesn't look so authentic but if jesus was'nt killed and was physically taken from the earth to the heavens where he is protected till it is his time to come down to earth so a man alive in the heavens! see both the believes say that jesus has to return but the muslim belief looks more authentic diesn't it ?????????????
don't judge the question upon if u r a muslim or a christian just answer it fairly with u'r sence of THINKING.

I am not tolerant of religion, nor do I claim to be. Religion has cause more hatred in the world than any other system. Religion is truly the opiate of the masses.

Religion subverts science, encourages fanaticism and thrives on guilt. Thanks, but no thanks.

Your thoughts?

Seriously! Some of them seem to forget the fact that on Judgment Day, it's supposed to be God, not them, making that decision!
