I just want to know why the majority of atheists here think everyone is wrong, except themselves...

I don't believe anyone sect represented here is right, though some certainly have more knowledge than others.. and wisdom as well.

They fear what they don't understand, and so must have a world to live in where they are able to explain everything. The unknown frightens them. God is something they don't understand, and so must make efforts to do away with God or the part God plays in our world so that they can feel comfortable. Arrogance plays a big part in it, too. How arrogant must someome be to think that they are capable of understanding everything in the universe to begin with. Sometimes I wish folks from another part of the galaxy would come down here and show us all how little we truly know.

While I am not an atheist I would ask you why the religious community think only they have the answer. you question...in reverse....is your answer.

It is seldom in life that any of us change our belief we were raised with. It often takes a major life change for us to see what we didn't see before.

How many people have prayed, perhaps for the first time in there lives, on their death bed? We believe what we are taught and most never question it one way or another.

I would say that it is the result of a very closed mind, not open to any possibilities other than what they "know to be truth". It is a relative truth and not an absolute truth because there can only be one truth, the absolute truth and that is God. Now on the other hand, many atheists may pose the same question in regard to belief in God. Religion doesn't come through just the understanding of the very limited human mind, it comes through faith and only God can illuminate the mind to accept His Truths.

I only ask that you provide evidence to back up your theory. I will do the same for the theories I put out and you can and should question them using supporting evidence or arguing that mine doesn't apply. I am also very willing to change my mind when presented with said evidence.

I think that is the best and really only method to arrive at a rational conclusion.

Your problem is you lack basic evidence and think that your opinion equals evidence of something.

The same place where most people of conviction in any area get their ideas that THEY are right. Ask a Muslim if their religious beliefs are right, or a Jew, or a Christian...of course, they will each say yes, and that the other groups are either wrong or, at least misguided.

not all athiests believe that

and its very frustrating to hear christians talk about how they're right

and muslims

and buddhists

and hindus.....its the same everywhere

everyone thinks they are right, all the time and i think everyone should just get used to that because i dont think it will ever end. just accept ur religion, believe that UR religion is the RIGHT religion, and then dont preach it to anyone else! if U accept UR religion, then be happy with it, dont try to force other ppl into it!

No, we don't have huge egos. In fact, we'd love to be proved wrong. C'mon, who doesn't want to know that his soul shall continue forever and he won't just die and decompose.

God is a good idea... it's just not believable.
