There are multiple thousands of Christian denominations. There are many factions of Catholicism. There are Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, and literally hundreds of "religions". There are Athiests. My question is simple - If there is one God, and, depending on your religion, the text you base your religion on tells you specifically the manner in which worship is acceptable, and these definitions vary from religion to religion, who has it right? Does any religion on the planet have the correct manner of worship and conduct to please God?
Feel free to quote religious texts. In context, please.

I dont know how the other religions deceide anything. But, if one is Christian, the only way to know anything is by the Bible and Bible alone. The Bible tells us how to worship and pray, and makes it clear. But, the reason so many in Christianity do it all very different andhave very different beliefs is this. They bring in their own opinion, what they have heard or not heard, etc. The devil is right there to confuse everyone, even the Christians. The only way to avoid confusion is to be loving God enough to obey what He tells you to do . THen, He asks us to remove SELF from things. Its not about us and what we want or dont want or think or dont think. Its about what God thinks. IF we desire to do ONLY HIS will, He will show the way, and remember even Christians are growing andlearnng all the time. YOu can memorize the Bible overnight, its a process of going to God in prayer and asking questions. Then Wait and He shows you. To try an d explain all this with Bible verses < I would have to write a book or many books. Only way to know is read the Bible and then you will get a feel of how Christians are supposed to worhip, think, act, etc. As to those other relgions, you would have to ask one of them for a response. Those of us that know God, go only to the Bible for our information and find He is right on about everything. Even the prophecies given have come true and are still coming true. Good to ask questions tho, then you learn...

Together we will explore the beliefs of the eleven main living religions,
as well as numerous other religions, sects and teachers.
As we examine these worldviews, we will
discover both amazing similarities and evident contradictions.
We may not always agree on final conclusions,
but we can all agree on initial questions—the questions that echo
within the heart of collective humanity:
"Who am I?"—"How did I get here?"—"Why am I here?"—"Where am I going?"
These oft-spoken words bind us together—regardless of race, culture or religion—
for there is a common cry within the hearts of all men.
Before we even discover the answers, just asking the questions connects us, not only with each other, but with the real meaning of life. Yes, it is true—
"Religion is the first thing and the last thing, and until a
man has found God, and been found by God, he begins at no
beginning and works to no end."
—H. G. Wells

For me, the truth is found in the Bible. The Bible has existed for far longer than any of the other religious materials. Having said that, I realize many will say it has been altered. While that could be chalked up to interpretation, of word meaning in some areas, for the most part, the biblical scrolls found and such in today's world still match what was written thousands of years ago. Also, in regards to archaeological digs, etc., they find more and more that corresponds exactly with what the bible says, further proving its truth.
The Muslims are not the only ones who are guilty of this. Even in Christianity today, denominations such as Episcopal, J.W. and even the Catholic religions throw in their own version and change things here and there to suit their own desires. Again, the bible tells us that would happen. As far as the Jew are concern, I believe that the Torah and their other collections which make up the Old Testament are truth. My only belief in regards to most Jews is that they do not believe Jesus to be Savior and the New Testament. That's okay though, God will open their eyes to truth one day soon, as yes, they are his chosen people and they have a special purpose with him.
I am a Christian of non denominational belief. I put my faith in belief in Jesus' sacrifice at the cross for all of humanity.

I dont believe that there is one RIGHT religion. There is no ONE religion that has the 'correct' manner of worship.
The way I see it, the God that I believe in (being Christian) would not punish someone to eternity in Hell because they were raised to believe a certain way. No matter which God you believe in, how your worship him, as long as you believe...I dont see him turning people away because there is only ONE right religion and they had never heard of it, or no one ever taught it to him, or he was raised in a country where they were taught something else....I dont think my all forgiving Lord would do that.

According to the Bible, God will put it into the minds of the governments to close all of the false religions. Then, Satan, will call attention to the fact that the one religion that is left is standing unprotected. This, will cause the governments to try to close the true religion (yes, there is one) and when they do, It will be like touching God's eyeball and He will turn on the governments to destroy all of them. It is my belief that this one true religion is Jehovah's Witnesses and I believe it so strongly that I am willing to die for my choice. Every person on the planet needs to be examining themself and their religion so that they can say the same thing about their choice because the end is approaching very fast.

Each religion that worships a god has one thing in common, and that is there is a God. A power beyond our abilities and understanding. As science continues to grow, our understanding of god will as well. The true meaning of life is that we all die. God is the hope that we are more then we really are. Without a god, people would be reckless and far more dangerous then they are fighting over their idea of god.

I wasn't raised in a devout household and I without doubt did not simply 'move together with it'. Nothing main 'occurred to me' to make me devout both. For decades I had the sensation that anything wasn't really correct with the sector and I desired solutions. Note: I'm a Buddhist, incidentally.

No one religion or moral philosophy is right for absolutely everybody. Different beliefs appeal to different people for various reasons. It could be that they simply believe that tradition into which they were born. Or it may be that a person couldn't wrap their mind around a certain concept and they felt obligated by conscience to migrate to a different denomination or faith, or to cast aside religion altogether.

All roads lead to the center. It doesn't matter what god you believe in - or if you believe in one - we're all going to the same place, whether that's heaven, nirvana, or nothing at all. Why people spend so much time worrying about what other people "think is right" is beyond me, and it causes an awful lot of problems when you start trying to impose your personal definition of "right" on other people.

Buddhism is an agnostic religion, we do not involve ourselves with any deity. We focus on living a good life, and trying to end suffering. We reject Dogma outright...
