I'm not saying one religion is more right than another. I was brought up christian, but I am now spiritual.

I am confused with the bible...
Why did the bible forget to mention dinasours, their is proof they existed...
and if God is so perfect then how come he decided he needed to destroy the world with a flood (Noah) Isn't that like basically saying,
"Oooops, the world has failed, and so have I so lets try that again..."

If he loves us so much then how come he puts fear into our hearts from sinning...Yet he created humans to sin...

Then he damns us to hell, if we are not as perfect as Jesus?
~confused~

The majority of atheist did believe in God at one time or another. Did all atheist turn to evolution and has Scientist become your God now? just wondering no disrespect meant.

I know that most of atheist are very intellegnent , but If 33% of the world are Christians and 16% are atheist (which includes people who are unsure) Are you curious what is causing hundreds of people a day to convert to Christianity?

I truly do not mean any disrespect , I'm just looking for honest answers

I still have extremely spiritual dreams, and I am sought out now. While in a laundrymat, a woman and I started up a conversation about religion. She convinced me to come to her church that Sunday, and I definitely can say that I felt something there. I wanted to join that church, but after the service my sister was waiting at my brothers home that I was visiting to bring me back home to my mom's. I never got to join that church, never even got to go back to that town. Recently, with friends in a store, I passed an old woman heading out. She came back in, and said that when she had passed me earlier, "the spirit" made her follow me inside. She grabbed my hands, prayed for me, asked if I knew I was being called. She begged me to take her number, to call her that night. She was crying when she left. My friends laughed it off. I don't know what happened to the number, it disappeared. I left out a lot of details, and this has happened more that twice. Overactive imagination?

That's what it is to "have a friend in Jesus". Jesus NEVER EXISTED. Unless you're a compacent know-nothing, read about it in "The Jesus Mysteries" by Timothy Freke & Peter Gandy.

Who really are you, God?
The way that humans view God is influenced by their culture, by the religion of their parents, and possibly by their own choice. Some people use a name for the Deity; others simply call him God. Does it really matter? Is there just one true God who reveals himself and his name to us?
Why is there so much suffering?
If a person's reckless or immoral way of life has ruined his health or reduced him to poverty, he may complain. But he may well know why he is suffering. However, many others suffer grievously through no fault of their own. Some have chronic illnesses. Others struggle against seemingly insurmountable odds to have a roof over their heads and enough food for their families. Millions are victims of crime, war, indiscriminate violence, natural disasters, or injustice at the hands of people in authority. Understandably, many ask: 'Why have such conditions become so widespread? Why does God permit all this suffering? Why am I here? What's the purpose 2 life

Are we representing our Savior correctly if certain groups of people are obviously afraid or uncomfortable to be around us?

We have a gay relative that was visiting his parents recently when, out of the blue, their pastor stopped in for a friendly visit. The gay relative then ran and hid in the back room of thier home for over an hour until the pastor left. This saddened me greatly, this reaction of fear or shame because if there are groups of people that avoid us because of our reputation (as Christians), then how will these groups know the love of Christ? How do we start to break down these walls to show them the love, so they too can know no fear? Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Non-Chrisitans, I'm sorry, but I don't need to hear about your lack of Christianhood. Telling me that you don't believe only wastes my time and yours.

Thanks

Well once again I had a question unfairly deleted that was atheist in nature, the reason given for the deletion was "chating" even there was no chating involved in the question. Too many times have I read where questions were deleted that were clearly atheist in nature. Once a person posted a question along the lines of "Why are christians bigots" that was deleted however when he posted a new question "Why are atheist bigots" it was allowed to stay. As a matter of fact if you run a search on that question you should find it. So please tell me if you think the Yahoo staff has a prejudice againdst atheist.

I was sitting in church, and I had a very sharp pain in my back. It was so uncomfortable. I prayed "God, please relieve me from this pain" and Instantly the pain was gone. Later, I told my husband what happened (hes agnostic) and he said "the Mind is a very powerful thing."
Could the human mind be so powerful as to heal oneself? Or could only God have done this?

I mean, I watched his show over and over again with my young impressionable mind and to this day I like being friends with my neighbors, and I have friendly chats with our mail carrier, and I still think it would be pretty neat to visit a crayon factory :)

Okay, I'm obviously talking about the soft brainwashing where young impressionable minds are told something over and over again and not the hard, scary, brainwashing that involves bondage and torture and having all nuetral information withheld.

So getting to the question: Is soft brainwashing always bad? What if what you are being taught is good?

I welcome any of your thoughts

i have heard up to 3 times, but i am not sure. so i wanan know how many times they have edited their book? and peopel that answer saying well how many version of the bible are there? if you are dumb enough to say that then you are to dumb to answer my question. but let me answer that for you now, there are many versions of the bible... easier to understand versions, added "readers notes" versions and many more. but if you can show me two bibles that say different things... then i will revoke my question and admit to being an idiot. seing as that wont happen i have no fears. where as the book of mormon may have different versions, it has also changed its teachings, why is this?
