Do you think people have the right to the choice of death? As a chirstian we don't think so. With the said, what do you guys think about that? Get back to me! Thanks!

Why is it considered rude to criticise religion as we do other beliefs (political, personal, etc.)? Some people become genuinely upset at the mere statement of "there is no god." Why do people tend to put themselves in harms way because of their religious beliefs? Why do people feel the need to hate or kill people who's religious beliefs are different from theirs. And most importantly why do people demand such ultimate respect for religion?

Religious beliefs are tantamount to personal opinion... and as such should be open to criticism.

But the difference is they try to stop sinning..everyone is hypocrite, everyone does wrong, everyone messes up.... but the diffrernce is we stand for morality, and when we sin we hate the sin we do and we try not to do it again and when we do wrong we are sorry and get back up.... and christians who are judgemental neeed to question their faith..... but you all who judge them are doing the same thine.. so simmer down... its all wrong they are only supposed to judge by their fruits..

Deuteronomy 21:10-14 God commands:
"When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the Lord thy God hath delivered them into thine hands and thoust has taken them captive, and seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and have a desire unto her, that though would have her to be thy wife, then though shalt bring her home to thine house . . . and after that you may go into her and be her husband, and she shall be your wife. But if though have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go".
the Book of Numbers, Chapter 31, verses 17 and 18. Here, Moses, following the Lord's command, orders the Israelites to kill all the Midianite male children. The order continues with the following:
". . . kill every woman who has known man by lying with him,
but all the female children, that have not known a man by lying with him,
keep alive for yourselves."

I believe the story is in John, but I could be wrong. An expert in Jewish law tests Jesus with the question: If loving our neighbor is one of our greatest commands, then who is our neighbor? This was, or course, a controversial question then and it still seems to be. Jesus then replies with a question to the expert.

Basically three people pass by a man that's just been mugged. One is a Jewish priest, another is an expert in the law, and the third is a Samaritan. At that time, Jews hated Samaritans. They actually prayed against them daily. The Samaritan is the only one that stops to help the mugged man (also Jewish). The Jewish individuals don't help because to come in contact with blood was considered to make you unclean. The Samaritan ignores that law to help anyway. Jesus asks: Who was the mugged man's neighbor?

The answer of course is the Samaritan, which would have been very difficult for the expert to answer due to his hatred of them. So I ask, who is your Samaritan (neighbor)?

I've been hitch-hiking for twenty years now and can count on one hand the amount of people who've shared their faith with me.
One time I stood in front of a church as the congregation was leaving and watched every car go by, what's up with that?
Sporting those fish symbol stickers on your bumpers as you go by really makes me wonder about the whole "Do unto others" thing.
