OK my answer might be a little bit different than other Muslims. women have to dress in a modesty, that doesn't mean to cover their hair. if they want to its OK but they don't have to. and the same for men they have to dress in a good way. and in the quran God said in 24:30 "tell the believing men that they shall subdue their eyes (and not stare at the women), and to maintain their chastity. this is purer for them. God is fully Cognizant of everything they do. and in 24:31 He said "and tell the believing women to subdue their eyes, and maintain their chastity. they shall not reveal any parts of their bodies, except that which is necessary. they shall cover their chests, and shall not relax this code in the presence of other than their husbands, ......" as we see here God ask the men first then ask the women.

peace, hope i answered you question

i believe and follow only the Quran.. the prophet cant say something is "*****" or no. his mission is just to give the people the quran. so when people say gold and silk is "*****" for men that is not true. there is no where in the quran that say that. i ask every Muslim to read about it and to go to www.submission.org

Islam established the term Human Rights in areas like social classes quality, women rights

, abolishment of slavery where in past the world did not recognize any human rights
In the past women were sex propriety where the in west the catholic church called for one marriage only there was no freedom to divorce and men committed Adultery most of the time remember king Henry lovers
Islam gave women the right to divorce husband for his bad looks beside other things.
Women before Islam were naked thank GOD for Islam

This is so tough. I believe that it is a gross misapplication of scripture and that it clearly is child abuse. I also know that if it becomes illegal these folks will still do it because they'll "obey God rather than men." I believe other sorts of emotional and spiritual abuse occur in churches because of twisted scriptures. I think the people doing this need mental help. The thing is, they're convinced they're doing God's will and even the admonition of other Christians is unlikely to sway them. If it's illegal and they are arrested, they'll be martyred. I think efforts at helping people out of those sects would be more productive in the long run. Though I wouldn't oppose making it illegal.

Islam recommends women to dress up in such a way so that others respect them. if u r thinking about the veil n all, I must tell u my friend that it has come from the ancient Saudi culture. please do not mix their culture with other Islamic countries', for different countries have different dress codes.
