I know what you're saying. On the one hand, they say God can't help people in need because he gave us free will and all the suffering is the work of people abusing their free will. But on the other, they think they can appeal to God for help and he will do something about it. God can't help and allow free will at the same time. Which is it people?

Some do, some don't. When some people find themselves in a pit so deep they can't get out, they see that God has a long arm.
Perhaps He did allow the situation so someone would turn to Him.

Sometimes God allows us to get in a fix to teach us a lesson or for some other reason and sometimes thru our own freewill we put ourselves in a bad postion. We then need our Heavenly Father to get us out.

No, they put themselves in that situation. If they only ask for God's help when they are in trouble...then they are going about it the wrong way.

No... circumstances, poor choices, others with demontic spirits cause trials and tribulations... however, it is God that delivers you from these things and places you on higher ground.
