I understand the atonement of Christ for Christians. Why is it that other religions stopped animal sacrifice? Did their God change his mind about atonement?

I don't believe this, but someone said it in the answer to another question and I'm curious as to where the idea came from. Please don't say the Da Vinci Code.

Since my last question started a little too sharply, I'm reposting it here to see if I get more serious answers.

So much intolerance flies up from all sides, so much ignorance and hatred. I have several points to address today.

First, I see far, far too much discrimination from our Christian population. How many questions and answers go up every day that condemn all non-Christians, demand to know why others do not believe in Jesus, ignorantly attack Pagans, Atheists, Muslims, and Jews, improperly label others as Satanists and proclaim that we are all going to "burn in hell"? Too many. And the matter of doggedly reporting every atheist question you see is just out of control. Already several atheists I respect have been victimized by this behavior.

Atheists, now. I see hate from you, too, flying up on all sides. Many of you attack every single religion that exists. You proclaim them all invalid and attack their believers. "Your god is imaginary

They're always asking all kinds of uncomfortable questions and making it difficult to maintain faith. Should we get rid of them permanently? There's really not that many of them. What could they do?

Thanks.

Well, not ALL other christians, but I'm sure most of you know what I mean.

If you define 'christian' as 'follower of Christ", then wouldn't anyone who follows him be a christian by definition alone? If you define 'christian' as 'Christ-like' wouldn't many who call themselves christian not pass muster, so to speak? And why all the finger pointing at Catholics?

Just curious.

an arabic speaker who knows the koran recently wrote here that muslims are instructed to lie to non muslims any time it furthers the interests of the muslim community. I have seen this stated before as being in the koran. Doesn't this make it almost impossible for non muslims to beleive anything muslims say about trying to get along, etc.? If not, why not?

Whether you want to admit it or not Hitler's SUPREME RACE theory was based on the theory of evolution. Encyclopedia Britannica called it "social-Darwinism".

There is a certain logic that IF MACRO-EVOLUTION is true then there must be a means of advancing to the next stage of evolution. That is if it is true. Considering they have mapped out the human genome I have heard they can unlock human strength and intelligence. Star Wars clone war should be gene war.

Jesus called God Allaha (aramaic)

'And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.' (Qur'an)
