Peace will never be attain by prayers alone. Not even if all people of the earth will do it. It has to be followed by actions to attain it. God never gives all the things that you ask for but He will guide you if you live according to His commands and teachings through all your endeavours to achieve it. Your fate in His hands is never in the way He designed it but in the way you walk through the roads He prepared for you. You have a choice and those are either to follow His commands or walk away from Him. In Deuteronomy, He gave us two things... A Blessing and A Curse and all we have to do is to make a choice between Right and Wrong. A hint: Not all Good things can be right. So take wisdom and learn to understand.

I think the prayer used at the beginning of most every 12-step meeting.

God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.

Simply put.. to just pray for peace and serenity in this crazy world that has pretty much abdoned God. Take time to get alone with God and pray. Ask and ye shall receive..
And, dont focus on this world. thats the problem. Focus on the solution that is God, This whole world will end, and God told us He already has the final victory. Jesus is coming soon. Just tell people about Him, focus on God, as your source to have strength and courage to get thru this world, and know He will show you how to take some people with you. amen.
Just pray. God says we have not, because we pray not. ANd then just believe and wait... God answers all prayer of His obedient children. He says obedience brings blessing and disobedience brings curse. SO just walk in obedience and love, keep praying and you will be fine. God bless.

The Serenity Prayer. You ask your God to grant you the ability to stay calm when things are out of your control.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Big favorite of my grandmother's.

None of them. Prayer is a means of making a person think he's helping without his having to lift a finger.

One man with a shovel can do more good than a million people praying.

On a personal level, meditation is good. On a larger scale, the best kind of prayer, I believe, is the kind that takes the form of actual deeds, not words and wishes.

Coping with circumstances beyond your control is never easy. Realizing that you have no control and asking for help is the best, I have found.

The outside we cannot control but inside myself I can control peacefully, no mountain, no hill, everything equally. I need not to pray.
