They're always asking all kinds of uncomfortable questions and making it difficult to maintain faith. Should we get rid of them permanently? There's really not that many of them. What could they do?

I have sex with one on a daily basis and I've never disagreed with him about the hows and whys of it. So "screw 'em" gets my vote.

What a moronic question! How about honoring our First Amendment Right (that's where Freedom of Speech comes in, in case you didn't know)...and then, LEAVE US and all other non-whatever-you-ares alone? You can spout all the religious crap you want, with NO proof, yet do you see atheists wanting to string YOU UP?! NO. Get over it.

P.S. If atheists have the "power" to make it "difficult" for you to "maintain your faith", then maybe YOU are the one w/the problem! Maybe you find your faith difficult to believe in. Go see your priest/minister, whatever. (I didn't write "Rabbi" there, as I've never known a Jew to ask such a hateful question!).

Someone who is firm in their beliefs really won't change that much. Afer all, when you look at the mindset of your average fanatical believer, you can see that their mind is made up, they will irrationally ignore facts and other viewpoints, and even show hostility and openly attack people who hold different religious beliefs. And that's just what happens if you say evolution might not be 100% truth! Just imagine if you make a comment about God.

if there is such thing as an uncomfortable question and it makes it difficult to maintain faith maybe you are seeing that there is other thoughts out there. I dont see athiests saying the christians are making it uncomfortable being athiest except a few who have stated getting beat literally by christians.

Love them as Jesus would!! Don't be a hypocrite. Things are going to challenge your faith if it's not them it would be someone or something else. My question for you is just how strong is your faith in God that they make it so difficult to maintain? Don't blame them for your weak faith, it has nothing to do with them and everything to do with you!

well if the questions make you uncomfortable ????
and just because someone chooses to not believe does not make then evil ???
if they make it difficult for you to maintain your faith then i would have to say you ye of little faith .
i am neither atheist or christian or any of the organized religions .
i like to think of myself as a spiritualist and welcome different points of view the problem is most of these organised religions seem to simply reply to answers with pat formats ,there really is little conversation or open mindness .
no room for differences ,but i hold true to what i myself believe in and that is we our of the spirit and we should all try to be tolerant of differences .....

When atheist asks a question in an attempt to test my faith, I grow spiritually through thinking and remembering something in the Bible. So should
Your question even sounds like you are an atheist.
So, instead of getting rid of you atheist, we're gonna keep on bringing you the word.
Over. and over and over again- Praise be to God.
For those who ask questions trying to seriously inquire of my belief's- Thank you. It's not bad to discuss differences in life. That's how I learn more.

Do the christian thing, capture them, take their land and property in the name of the one true church (whichever on that is), torture them, and offer them a chance to convert.

Of course, if you are going to take this route, you have to be ready to show people that you are serious.

This means that (if they fail to recant their beliefs) you are going to have to flay some people alive and burn them at the stake in the middle of a public square.

But hey, its not religion without a little sacrifice.

Giv'em a taste o' that old tyme religion.

If they make it difficult to "maintain" your faith- you are weak, and have no faith. AND- there is more athiests than you think. Crappy question.

They're making it difficult for you to 'maintain Faith'?

(Wrong thing to tell them.)

Learn from them, because only they have the truth. The rest of the world sleeps in superstitious nonsense.
