Extremely, because I believe that there is a heaven and that you only get to experience life once. Reincarnation as far as I'm concerned deals with multiple experiences with different lives to learn something that you failed to learn in your previous life, right? Well I don't know about that, but if it were real, the idea of a "heaven" would surely go down the drain for me.

Making such an assumption is not even possible for people who already know the truth.
If reincarnation was for real, then I suppose one of the people living on Earth right now would be the reincarnated Jesus Christ, so yeah, that would void all the meaning of not only my religion, but all truth and meaning in this life.
That's basically the same as thinking you don't really exist or imagining you didn't exist even for a moment - both ideas are beyond the reasoning abilities of our finite minds.

Scientific of reincarnation would certainly be an interesting development, because it would also prove the existence of the soul. However, for me, it would not change my religious views whatsoever. I do not believe in a God, or a religion, and proof of reincarnation alone would not change that. Others who adhere to a strict dogma, might have some philosophic reshuffling to do.

Interesting to think about. I already believe in eternal progression, and that everything has a spiritual eliment to it (or how would it know to obey God's command).
I think the biggest alteration would be the whole multiple lives on this earth thing. That would be a pretty big jump for me I guess.

Well, those past life regressions I did would make a whole heck of a lot more sense, and it'd explain why I keep seeing Fenrir Wolf (of norse mythology) every time I go out-of-body.
Still, it'd mean I'd have to accept the existence of a soul, but that'd be no real biggie. I'd keep going through life as I am.

If reincarnation were true, then existence would be an unending cycle without hope. There would not be any reason to do well or be moral, no reward or punishment for good or bad behavior.

If there is no Heaven, there wouldn't be much need for Jesus. Ask how it would affect behavior -- it wouldn't -- it's still important to treat people with kindness and consideration so that you are sure to not accrue too much negative karma. Probably move to India to learn more about. Would we have to worship Kali, do you think? She is pretty scary.

i am slowly adapting my beliefs due to this
i have found many reincarnation stories to be too evidential to ignore
so it would be silly if i didnt try to make sense of it
i am questioning myself and my beliefs yes ... although it is not altering them too much
