According to Vedic Scriptures, in early days the whole world was one. It was not divided into different Countries.

Vedic Scriptures gives the description of Absolute Truth. There is only one God, referred to as Bhagavan and Bhagavan is the ultimate in the Absolute Truth.

How ever the Absolute Truth is realized in three phases of understanding, by its seekers, namely Brahman, or the impersonal all-pervasive spirit; Paramatma, or the localized aspect of the Supreme within the heart of all living entities and Bhagavan, or the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna.
There is mention of many demigods or Angels, but the supreme Lord is one and he is called Krishna or Visnu.
